"I'm Going Slightly Mad" by Queen
Composed by Freddie Mercury

When the outside temperature rises
And the meaning is oh so clear
One thousand and one yellow daffodils
Begin to dance in front of you - oh dear
Are they trying to tell you something?
You're missing that one final screw
You're simply not in the pink my dear
To be honest you haven't got a clue

I'm going slightly mad
I'm going slightly mad
It finally happened - happened
It finally happened - ooh oh
It finally happened - I'm slightly mad

Oh dear!

I'm one card short of a full deck
I'm not quite the shilling
One wave short of a shipwreck
I'm not at my usual top billing
I'm coming down with a fever
I'm really out to sea
This kettle is boiling over
I think I'm a banana tree

Oh dear, I'm going slightly mad
I'm going slightly mad
It finally happened, happened
It finally happened uh huh
It finally happened I'm slightly mad - oh dear!

I'm knitting with only one needle
Unraveling fast its true
I'm driving only three wheels these days
But my dear how about you?

I'm going slightly mad
I'm going slightly mad
It finally happened
It finally happened oh yes
It finally happened
I'm slightly mad!
Just very slightly mad!

And there you have it!

Rpg Contest 5 Preliminary Voting

Please vote in the RPG contest. I just put a lot of work and have lots some sleep over these polls.

As a final note, I would like to state that have gained a massive appreciation for Tufi, Schizo, and all who make polls for the BBC contests. Sorting forty-eight entries was tiring enough; I cringe to think of doing over two hundred!

A New Moc

Things That I Like

I have updated the "Most Recent MOC" box with my BBC #41 entry, "Callinect." Callinect is a little blue crustacean. The theme of the contest is to create a MOC that could be a viable Bionicle set produced by Lego--keeping in mind the correct pieces counts and prices ranges, and levels of complexity. My little arthropod is made for the five-dollar set division of the Bionicle line (joining sets such as the Turaga, Matoran, Bohrok Va, and Hydruka).

And, it glows in the dark!

You can comment on it here. Spread the word by using one of the banners in the topic!

Though it seems like just yesterday we wrapped up the last TBRPG contest, another three months have passed us since its closure. Now then, is the time for our fifth quarterly RPG Forum Contest.

I will be hosting this one alongside my cruel boss, Admiral Black Six, so submit all questions to either me or him, or simply post them in the discussions thread. Speaking of the discussion thread, the lack of activity there is making me sad. Make me feel better by posting exuberantly!

Once you have concocted your brilliant entry, submit it here and I or the Admiral will add inspect it and add it to the list in the opening post.

Silly Admins!

You know, it was something I had never really thought about before. Was there a place on BZP I did not really post in? I generally avoid COT, and I spend most of my time in RPG, Artwork, and the Library, but it wasn't until I stumbled upon this poll that I realized there was one place where I don't believe I have ever posted. That would be the Marketplace.

I don't really trade or sell anything--I keep my sets and pieces for MOCing, and the few collectible rarities I have, I cherish. So this portion of the forum I just happened to stay out of, not from aversion, but from lack of pertinence. Funny, huh?

Oh, and by the way, I got assigned to a new forum today!

I Dislike Commercials

Life and Lessons Learned
I had this conversion but moments ago.

Me: hahahah hee
Me: so the Return of the King came on tv
Black Six: ok
Me: and I started watching it, then said to myself: "why bother watching the normal version interrupted with commercials when I can just pop in the commercial-free extended edition on dvd?"
Me: so I did so, and it just finished
Me: when I took the dvd out, the movie was still playing on tv
Me: now think about this
Me: the extended edition of return of the king has almost an hour more of footage, IIRC
Black Six: yep
Me: but there were so many commercials on the tv, I was able to play the entire extended edition between the first few and last two scenes on the broadcasted one
Black Six: that's a LOT of commercials
Me: that means there must have easily been over an hour of commercials
Me: anyway, I found that amusing
Black Six: I concur
Me: hm I should blog about it
Black Six: lol, go for it

Retrospective

Despite tribulations involving illness and difficulty is locating a parking spot, I had the awe-filling sight of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, with all their pyrotechnics, lasers and lights, glow-in-the-dark violins, and outrageously incredible music before me.

The show opened with a slightly curtailed presentation of their first album, Christmas Eve and Other Stories. Interposed between the narrator's crisp relating of the tale of a lone angel were such memorable TSO tunes as "A Mad Russian's Christmas" and their biggest hit, "Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24." Expertly coordinated to the musics was a brilliant light and laser show that accentuated the symphonic sound in an exciting visual way.

After the narrator (who often played along with the band-members on an air guitar when he was not reciting his story) completed his tale, we were introduced to the members of the band. Following this short break the group erupted into song once more, blasting familiar compositions from The Lost Christmas Eve and my favorite TSO album, Beethoven's Last Night. Among these were the wildly entertaining "Wizards in Winter," "Christmas Nights in Blue," "A Last Illusion," and the electrically-charged rendition of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony, "Requiem." The latter was accompanied by breathtaking jets of fire and other pyrotechnics and captured the power and majesty of the famous Fifth Symphony in a way only the Trans-Siberian Orchestra can.

One of the best parts of the three-hour show was a preview of the upcoming TSO album Night Castle. The band played their adaptation of "Carmina Burana" (the "O Fortuna" part, specifically) to much applause. Afterward there was a great keyboardist duel between two pianists which led into an explosive finale featuring a second performance of Sarajevo in an even more grandiose style.

If you are a fan of the Trans-Siberian Orchetsra, you must see them perform live.
