Cephalopods. The one thing I remember learning in 9th grade Biology.

Squid don't 'have eight tentacles'. They have multiple tentacles, but there is no set number. It can be anywhere from six to ten (or onwards, depending on genetic mutations). Take a look at your third one, there.

This is true, I was generalizing (it's my understanding that the majority of species have eight, with ten being the second-most-common). Perhaps I should just knock that adjective out.

But that is the argument of the lazy man. We are MOCists, not Lego set designers; we should hold ourselves to a higher standard.

Quite aware of the beak issue. I just came up with a great beak for my entry, before realizing that I have no way of making the tentacles. How sad.

 

I hope I can find time to enter this contest, but it seems that I may miss this one like the last two. :angry: I have my fingers crossed, though.
