Aside from the occasional gaming (and less-than-occasional gaming late last night where I might've played for 5 hours straight?) all I've done this weekend is homework. But even between matches I did homework so I felt productive.
It's really all I've done.
It's so much fun I tell ya!
Well I guess I've also spent more time in the commons building computer lab than ever before. But the bulk of that was spent writing down homework assignment or updating my resume anyways. And getting distracted with the Internet because, come on, it was too tempting.
Finding out tomorrow the diagnosis for my laptop... I've reached the conclusion it was some sort of problem between the power supply and motherboard which probably will probably lead to replacing one or the other or both. I really wish I knew if it were wiser to do that or purchase a new laptop altogether...
Ah well, we'll cross that bridge when it comes. Too bad it's also during the week of the career fair where my life is stressful enough.
Moved back into my dorm room today. Got the same exact room as last year, so it was easy figuring out where things went. But like just about every other student ever, I don't necessarily want to start classes tomorrow.
At least my first one isn't until 11:15 AM, so I get to sleep in.
I've had no homework for the last week of classes (that I didn't already finish last week) and if it weren't for in-class reviews before finals I wouldn't even be going to those.
Luckily I caved and bought Trials Evolution before I wanted to, so it's been occupying much more of my time than gaming has at all in the past month.
I'd say I can't wait for finals to be over with and start summer break, but I'm not even sure I'm looking forward to that. Stressed out about an impromptu potential internship at my dad's work, but not knowing if I'll actually have that or not makes it impossible to tell McDonald's whether I'll be working there. And I had planned on working there as close to full time as possible since my sister and I just had to put a down payment on a car to share... That neither of us have even been able to see, let alone test drive, since we're at school. But our dad insists it's fine and we'll be comfortable with it if we're comfortable with his blazer (which of course I am, since it's all I've ever driven). Ugh. Just don't know what to expect from sumemr.

What's the point of having the only day off from classes (Spring break aside) be during the second week? Every semester, Penn State. Every semester. Why? We don't need a break yet. We really, really don't. Give us one later, it would be so much more welcome.
It'll never happen, of course.
Well, back I go to playing Skyrim instead of doing homework. Because that's what Monday's for.
Semester 4, week 1 is finally over. It was a pretty darn long week, too. But I can't say I didn't learn some things this week. Here's some of that:
Food Science 105 - Food Facts and Fads:
Food is a good thing. But if you live in North Carolina and spend over $400 in food every week, don't let some guy claiming to do research take a picture of you and all the food you bought that week for his book because you will be ridiculed in every single food class to ever happen again ever.
Japanese 121 - Japanese Film and New Media:
As annoying as it may be to have to meet for 3 hours on Monday nights on top of normal class times other days, a 1926 Japanese silent film about samurai can still be pretty darn good.
Physics 213 - Fluids and Thermo Dynamics:
I learned this in high school. Also, don't post all 6 homeworks online during the first week. Might never go to class again. So thanks, actually.
Computer Engineering 271 - Intro to Digital Systems:
You can, in fact, have a computer class that will be taught on an overhead projector nowadays. Huh.
Computer Science 311 - Intro to Systems Programming
Also known as the class that matters most for me this semester. And besides using an SSH Client, all I learned was...
AHHH WHY WON'T PROFESSORS STOP LYING ABOUT "ASSUMING YOU DON'T KNOW THIS" BUT THEN GIVING PROJECTS IMMEDIATELY THAT IF WE ACTUALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON WE DON'T UNDERSTAND ONE BIT AND THEN THEY GET MAD AT US WHEN WE ASK FOR HELP RAAAHHHHH! !!!!
So I've now gotten back two of my final exam scores...
I got a 76 in my physics class, which was actually enough to bump me up to a B- in the class. After bombing the first midterm, I'm satisfied with my final grade.
But I spent so much time worrying about physics that I didn't study enough for my matrices/linear algebra class, which had a final on the same day. Failed the final, barely got a C for the class. Yet my exam scores are still above average for my section at least. Still doesn't change the fact that I am not happy about this one, when I felt so confident about that class.
Still haven't heard back about my macro econ final, despite it being the first I took.
UGH I DO NOT WANT TO KNOW HOW I DID ON CALC 3.
And I stlil have one more tomorrow, likely to be the hardest yet.
Oh god it just got so much worse. I can actually hear gunshots as a response of Coach Paterno's firing (my entry this morning was over him announcing his retirement). I'm legitimately scared for my life because of the riots forming.
