Muaka & Kane-Ra

So two auctions on eBay both end in a little over a day, and have Muaka & Kane-Ra going for pretty darn cheap (EDIT: $30 for both in one lot, $10 for both for another at the moment - probably should've just said that to begin with :P).... I'm tempted to get in on at least one. Any of you out there think it's worth it?

Well right now one's $30, the other $10. But there's an issue with the $10 one where the guy says if you don't have enough positive reviews you won't actually get your item, even if you win... Which is just ridiculous.

I take it you don´t have enough positive reviews? :P

I understand the reasoning behind it (I guess the seller wants to avoid trouble), but it´s really unfair.

Nope. :P Even though I've made multiple purchases, literally one person's only ever bothered to review me. Really, only sellers get reviews on eBay. Buyers will only if they get lucky and buy from a normal person, not the vast majority of sellers, who are usually indiscriminately selling all sorts of random items just to make money.

And I did contact about him, and the guy's reasoning was his "brother told him to." Like, I get that it's probably a safety thing like you said, Gatanui, but to win and not get what you won is just stupid.

Oh, and when I said "one" earlier I meant "one lot." So both are for those prices.

Strange, my mother is quite active on eBay and she usually is reviewed when buying.

Wow, that is what I call a logical reason that is an evidence for independent thinking. :P I am not even sure if it´s allowed to discriminate buyers for the reviews they got, so you might want to check the eBay guidelines about that.

It is against human nature to blame ourselves. :/

Oh, that it is...

But since I did contact him, he said I was "more legitimate" and in the event things don't "check out" (and they will...), I'd at least get refunded if I won. Well okay. Still weird but okay. Because the only way things wouldn't "check out" would be if he doesn't get the money. So there'd be nothing to refund. Umm. I don't get his full reasoning. But he should've been clearer in his description.

Anywho, bid made. :P I caaaved. My best friend had these two when we were younger and I absolutely loved them and have wanted them since.

EDIT: Really, Gata? Maybe I'm the strange one then haha. But eBay's not the only place I've gotten ignored as the buyer, despite always paying promptly and leaving positive reviews myself. So my way of looking at it's probably just different because of that. :shrugs:

It could just be because my mother usually asks sellers to give her a review.

Good decision. Muaka and Kane-Ra have excellent action features and are very fun to play with. They also have rather good parts. My brother and I got them at Brickfair or Brickfest several years back and have no regrets.

I bought those two off Rayg for $30 a year ago. Totally worth it.

Good luck with the bidding. I would think if you could communicate with him and get everything worked out, he'd deal with you... but I guess all people aren't normal. Still, the only thing a buyer can do is just not send money... so if he gets the payment in a timely manner, why would he complain? Strangeness.
