How many Pokemon are actively available in B&W2? The entire national Pokedex or all except the legendaries or all except some random ones, etc?

Well you still have a limited dex at the beginning before you beat the game (at which point basically all, barring version differences, will be available), but in addition to gen. 5 are a ton from the other generations. Don't really feel like looking up exactly how many though. But most routes and locations are pretty much half gen. 5, half old ones so there's a nice mix. (And the new Habitat List of the pokedex is reeeeally helpful in learning what's where.)

Well, you have made more progress than I have. I just made it to Castelia City yesterday and I have yet to even make progress on the gym. Although that's most because I was exploring since I want to see what changed in the city.

 

Oh, and I see what you mean about Pokestar Studios being hard to pull yourself away from as I had trouble doing that myself yesterday.

Well, the new Unova Pokedex has 301 now, so there is about 145 more Pokemon available initially in this game than in the previous two games (A lot of the Pokemon added to the Pokedex are from Hoenn region, although a few of them are from Kanto as well.).
