Mewtwo x Karzahni - April Haul

So this month was pretty awesome. And that includes some of my haul.

First of all, thank you very, very much TheFMAlchemist63 for Karzahni & co. and Radiak. ^_^ They're all sets I've wanted for quite a long time and I'm very happy to have them.

And Mewtwo? Wow. If the D-Arts line had started with Pokémon, I think it'd be an even bigger success right now.

Although, my Mewtwo is a little defective. :/ Came out of the package with a messed up right bicep; it popped off and shredded some of the peg when I first tried to turn it. Looks like the hole in the lower arm was misshapen. It went back on and stays, but posing is a nightmare because it just pulls on that connection instead of moving the arm at the shoulder like I want it to. And I sometimes need to "push" it in a little bit to look flush... But it's ultimately a collector's piece so will stay posed on the shelf most of the time, so I'm not too concerned.

I do wish I had some Transformers loot to show off too. I don't know whether it's laziness or I genuinely just couldn't find the time/justification to catch a bus and go out hoping to find something. And reports from other fans in my area saying there's nothing here didn't help. But once I'm home next week, I plan to finally go buy Bioshock Infinite, so that'll be a perfect opportunity to check out Wal-Mart too.

And D-arts Charizard is on his way. And I just ordered figma Pit and am awaiting confirmation on that... So next month should be pretty big heh.

Also... Gotta love Mewtwo's Shadow Ball effect part:

I envy your blue Garai. Karzahni looks like such a cool set.

Mewtwo also looks really good. That stand is amazing. (Well, maybe. If it's anything like Dukemon's it's probably pretty awful, but darn it looks nice.)

Karzahni is a really great set. Lots of fantastic pieces, and it come with four awesome components. One of my favs.

It really is awesome. Had quite a bit of fun building and playing with them lol.

Haha I don't know if I'd call it as bad as that one... Definitely looks nicer since it actually has a unique design on it, and the claw arm will actually stay together. That's a huge improvement over the type of arm used for Dukemon. But Mewtwo's so thin that it can't really grip him. >_<

Yeah, the unique design looks great. (Do all the Pokémon D-Arts have the same design?)

For Dukemon they could've at least used the Digital Hazard symbol, I think...but oh well..

Aw that would've been sweet!

Yep, all of the Pokémon have them. But are only coming with one hand to Mewtwo's two, since one was meant for Mew. Which for characters like Charizard, who you might want to pose flying, is a bit of an issue. But then I don't see why Blastoise and Venusaur will even need them, so I can just borrow those for Charizard.

Mewtwo looks ace, and Mew definitely sweetens the deal. Is the figure high-quality? The only similar figure I have is the Link Figma - is it as good as that?

I'd be tempted by Charizard as well, but I don't want to end up getting ALL of them. Wish Charizard came with a Charmander though.

The starter final evolutions coming with the starters themselves would've indeed been incredible. :(

But yeah, the line they're a part of, D-Arts, is another collector-oriented line. I'd call them high quality alright. Bandai/Tamashii takes a bit of a different approach to its figures than Max Factory/figma, so there are some noticeable differences like joint placement and color tones. But I've got them all on top of my dresser together anyways and think they look great as a group.
