I've actually never read a Harry Potter book, though I have the first four I think [from my sister/brother who read them when they came out]. Basically for three reasons; 1) I hadn't started reading all that much until recently; 2) As such, the . . . hugeness of the books kinda discouraged me further; and 3) I've heard mixed reviews -- some people say they loved them, others say it's really poor writing and they're not sure why people like them so much, other than the fact that the ideas are cool.

 

So . . . what do you think about the series? [specifically the first four, as those are what I have]

 

Probably won't read them for a while, even if I do decide to, only because I have so many other things to read [yay for used bookstores! =P], but it'd still be nice to see if I should, lol.

 

But I totally relate to being busy -- hang in there, Lady K!

Congrats on the 98, that sounds darn awesome! And I bet on that visual arts thingy you get a 110!

 

Finding a place to live is hard indeed...We've been scouting out flat's for my granparents to live in. It's been ugh so far, but we finally found a good place.

I feel ya, Mondays and Wednesdays are my rough days, and they're a royal pain. Also, the last Harry Potter is, I think, by far the best in the series, so don't hesitate to read it.

Well I do hope you get less busy lady K and Dont be scared to finish the Harry potter book as I read isn't by the way it was a wonderful book full of supance and sorry about your scanner

Surprisingly, I like them a lot. I was one of those latecomers that thought it would be an okay read...but I really enjoy them. Can't compare the writing to Tom Clancy or Tolkien, but she does a wonderful job with plots and characters. I'd definitely recommend the books whenever you get the time.

 

My Mom as a Zune and I have an iPod touch, so it's easy to compare. Mine's TOTALLY BETTER. B)

 

But Zunes are better if they're cheaper, and they're better then nothing.

Out of curiosity, what makes you come up to someone who owns the Zune just to yell in all-caps that your iPod is better? I mean doesn't that seem really mean to you? I just don't at all understand what would possess you to act like that.

Aaw. I think I... kinda understand how you feel? Thursday's a busy day for me too, but not that busy. Also congrats on good test results! At least you don't have to worry about that too.

I should have my contest entry done soon, planning to finish it over the weekend. Right now I'm in a rut of adding greebles... Having to draw a wall of computer-y stuff is surprisingly hard. I guess that's why I just copped out for fog on my old Uchik entry. All the same, I suppose a deadline extension can't be too bad, right?

Also on that last point, for some reading I just stopped reading at "I'm also considering dying (not permanent)".
