Rangers Win, Lead World Series 3-2

A wild ride down in Arlington leaves the Cardinals speechless and the Rangers a win away from their first world championship.

Game 3 was a 16-7 slugfest that went the Cardinals way, giving them a 2-1 lead and an excellent start to their roadwork in the Fall Classic, but that momentum was shot down in game 4, when Derek Holland shut down the Cardinals and Mike Napoli launched a big one off of Mitchell Boggs. Then on Monday, Game 5 provided an exciting follow-up to Holland's performance as the Rangers overcame Chris Carpenter from down by two runs to none, due to home runs by Moreland and Beltre and a timely two-RBI double by the Rangers' leading candidate for World Series MVP, Mike Napoli.

The next game is on Wednesday, at 7:05 CT from Busch Stadium on FOX.

I was wondering what the heck La Russa was doing in Game 5, bringing in a reliever to intentionally walk one guy.

Then I realized that La Russa didn't have a "senior moment" as my mom put it, but rather that the Texas stadium is so loud they couldn't hear anything. :P
