The BaseBlog isn't exclusively baseball. Hockey is awesome too. Not as awesome, but awesome nonetheless.

 

I'll be working on the first baseball related entry soon.

I was joking on how a small plastic Stanley Cup is quite unrelated to the shininess of those rings.

 

On a more related note, I can still hear the yells of my mom and her jumps on the floor when the Carolina Hurricanes were trying to win the whole thing.

UGH! I still don't understand why Carolina has a hockey team. Who in Carolina is going to play hockey anyway? To say nothing of Tampa Bay, the Florida Panthers, Phoenix, Dallas, and Nashville.

 

But yeah, I'm always bugged by southern hockey teams, where the only place ice can be is in an arena or freezer.

... and I'm wondering why Miami has a baseball team.

 

*ba-dum TSHHHHH!*

Florida isn't really a place for anything but football and basketball it seems. Nobody goes to watch the Rays or the Marlins, and THERE IS NO ICE IN FLORIDA!

 

They don't call their NBA team the Heat for nothing.
