What Are My Chances, Doc?

None, says Doc Halladay, as he no-hits the Cincinnati Reds in the second ever no-hitter in Postseason history, preceded only by Don Larsen's perfect game. Halladay also has his second no-hitter this year, his first being his perfect game against the Marlins, and this one would have been a perfect game were it not for Jay Bruce's walk--the only blemish of the night.

I myself was watching the game from the start. I always jokingly say the first time anyone gets on base "There goes the perfect game.", but I noticed around the fourth that I hadn't said that yet. In the fifth, I brought myself to ask my mom if anyone had been on base yet, but she had not really been paying attention, and so I figured that I was probably right. Unfortunately, I did end up saying "There goes the perfect game." after Bruce walked, but I never was able to say that the no-hitter was lost.

Mark it down. October 6, 2010 was a historic day in baseball.

Well, there go my hopes of facing the Reds rather than the Phillies in the NLCS, at least if Cincinnati keeps up the awesome playing as they did today. =P

Oh well, still have hope that this could be our year, so crossin' my fingers for that.
