This gif is accurate for 124% of BZPower staff.

When did you install a camera in my house!?

Well, logically speaking, it would describe most forum staffs barring a few. You bring together people who like one subject (Bionicle in this case)) but otherwise having nothing else in common with each other....yeah. The result is rather predictable. What makes BZP unique...well...it's like a cauldron of soup with some skin on top of it in my view. The skin being BZP rules on discourse (which I don't object to for the most part, BZP is one of the cleanest sites on the web. Which is why I'm here.) and the soup being peoples opinions on certain sensitive issues.

For the most part, the skin keeps the soup contained...but every once in awhile there's a bubble that breaks the skin and then we get what happened in Zar's blog.

soup skin is gross

...Well I could have used the Earth's crust and it's molten core as a metaphor. That might have been more accurate. But I had soup for dinner so it was on the mind.

What I pictured there was a human but instead of flesh and bones and guts, it's all soup?? Contained only by skin?? THAT BUBBLES?

Whats fascinating is the fact that the cycle is near impossible to stop. All it takes is one small post, not even a full paragraph and...boom.

It just builds and builds until something sets it off. Rather like a tidal wave. There was an Earthquake at sea (the post in this case) but at first you don't know if it had any other effects. Then a giant wave rises out of the ocean and heads towards the mainland. Since the Earth (or rather, topic) is so broad, earthquakes can't be eliminated. So we'll always have tidal waves.

I hope that metaphor worked.

I'm sorry, but now BZP thoroughly repulses me.

Just because yeah, soup 'skin' is disgusting and I can't get the image out of my head.

BASILISK WHAT HAVE YOU DONE

Completed the first step in my master plan to conquer BZP. The next step involves tanks.

Someone call the Salvation Army we're here to feed the hungry mouths of contempt and arrogance with our never-ending supply of Hope Bisque, Cream of Fact and Minestrone.

Minestrone is delicious.

Instead of expanding the metaphor / simile, I'll quote the song lyrics that popped into my head when I read the title.

You make me feel that
La la la la la
You make me feel so
La la la la la
