Titan Mata Nui Isn't Such A Bad Set

I can only find two problems: the pistons on his lower body and his lower legs.

Yeah, my order came. :D

Saw TLR today also, COME BACK BRICKEENS THERE AREN'T ANY SPOILERS!

*ahem*

TLR was actually much more epic and much, much funnier than I had anticipated. I am eagerly awaiting what goodies Tinseltown will produce in 2010 and 2011.

Currently, I'm building the System set I ordered, the City modular-style Fire Brigade. I've been too near the floor for too longm and I'm starting to get a really, really sore throat.

Maybe that's because I'm tired.

But whatever.

read this.

because, the designers whipped up a set from three major concerns: one, price. if you got it in a close color, why make it in a new one. :two, making the little set big. chest design emulated the onua plate. ankle guards where there. shoulder bulge was there too. :three, matching the universe. the blocky, upper torso slimming ridiculously, and the four pistons, were similar to the body shape of MU Mata nui.and the old toa torso.

I like the lower body pistons on Titan Mata Nui. I do agree that his lower legs are kinda cruddy though, and his upper legs for that matter. Although it would be troubling to keep the pistons and make this change, putting those Bitil wings on his upper legs (rebuilt to be less chaotic, of course) would look a lot more like the smaller version's armor. Meanwhile the lower legs could be slimmed down, maybe with a couple Kanohi Garai to emulate the ankle-guards (just one option out of many, of course).

Really, though the Toa Mata Nui set is really awesome. Crazy-awesome custom torso makes up for most of the grossness in the limbs. The first commenter was spot-on with their analysis.

Glad you liked TLR, too.
