Guitar Hero...it's a great game. You'd love it. Try Guitar Hero 2, then get the disk for 1, and then get the Encore Rocks the 80s edition, and then get Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock, and then Rock Band where you can play lead, bass, drums, and sing.

I'm not sure what genre you're into but these are fun entertainement for all.

Sly Cooper:Honor among thieves.

(these are the last two parts of the Cooper thrilogy,The first is from around the time the ps2 was released and not exactly easy to find so I won't bother mentioning it.Though it's a good game,ask omi,he played it.)

There's allways the Jak&daxter and Ratchet&clank series and if you just want to kill stuff,get God of War 2:Divine retribution.It's brutal,but entertaining.

 

If your into mecha and the like,try finding or renting: Zone of the Enders 2.

Just wiki these titles and see wich you'de like the most.

I agree you should get Melee, but if you like multiplayer games, may I also recommend Kirby Air Ride? I can't describe how fun that game can become.

Go get Resident Evil 4 on PS2. The best game you will ever play (Except for the Wii version which is 100 times better).

I recommend Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project.

zomg I'm still playing that game. and I'm getting owned by elites in legendary. BTW, Shine, try the MGS series and fire emblem for GC. I heard that they're gooooood.

Better yet, sell the Gamecube and get a Wii.
