I agree with Exo, this will be very helpful.

While I'm here, I just wanted to know offhand how to make it so comments are allowed when the people post them and don't have to be approved by me? Do I simply set the setting in the control panel to No Approve?

King Kobra - Yes, that's exactly it. Go into "Your Blog Links" (obviously you know where that is), click into the "Look" section and on of those dropdown lists (the one about comments), choose "No Approve."

I have a question, how can I approve the posts automaticly? Or do you have to wait or something? Cause I'm kinda tired to have to approve the posts and just let them be approved themselves.

No Approve means that people can comment freely. You won't have to approve every comment, they will appear automatically whenever someone posts a comment.

I have two questions regarding the use of images in blogs:

1. Are there any size guidelines or limits for embedded images? I'm assuming images in entries shouldn't stretch the screen, as they shouldn't stretch the screen in a post. Is this correct? What would be a good width to be sure they don't?

2. If you use a BZP image (a smilie, a rank image that you've earned, etc.) in a content block, do you need to move it to your own image hosting site first or can it be direct-linked? My guess is the "BZP is not an image hosting site" rule applies here, but I've seen members do it so I'm wondering if this is an exception.

Thanks. :)

1. I'm not entirely sure about size rules, but as to ensure that they don't stretch the screen (or go outside of the entry widths. I've seen the image go behind the content block text and serve as a "background" for the text rather than the usual color) I'd say the width should be less than 800 - the sum of the widths of your content blocks.

2. Report the DLed images to BlogAlert.

220 pixels is a good size to fit in one content block without stretching it. That's what I use, numbers around that area.

And I've got a question - if you're still going with the whole Thought Police thing, shouldn't this place be called Room 101? :P

What exactly is the Blog of the Week system? And why was there no Blog selected yesterday?

A blog is selected because of its content, not its popularity/rating/entries, and as for the reason why none was posted yet is that Janus is busy, the winner should be up shortly.

I have a question.

Is anyone other than the blogger himself able to view drafted entries?

Yes, Blog assistants, Global Mods, and Admins.

Just thought I'd add this. Blog Leaders can see draft entries as well. Our current one just happens to be a GMod as well.

Yes. The Blog Author has the power to approve, delete, and edit all comments in his blog at any time. The approve settings just simply don't make the comment show up until it's approved.
