Blog Q&A

Welcome to the Blog Q&A. This is your chance to speak directly to the Blog Staff (DeeVee, the Blog Leader, and his assistants Nukaya, Shine, Kohaku, Valenti, Bfahome, Ta-metru_defender, and Takuma Nuva) and ask any questions you may have about the world of blogs.

Please check out the Blog FAQ first, as your question may have been already answered.

I have a question.

Is anyone other than the blogger himself able to view drafted entries?

Yes, Blog assistants, Global Mods, and Admins.

Just thought I'd add this. Blog Leaders can see draft entries as well. Our current one just happens to be a GMod as well.

I decided to see what would happen when I drafted an entry, edited it, and so this way it'd turn up as a new one.

Turns out, you can cheat Premier membership, as long as you had a blog in the past. Hoping that I won't get in trouble for experimenting, and giving a heads up to the staff to do something about it.

I have a question. If No-Approve for comments is turned on, can you delete comments you don't like?

Yes. The Blog Author has the power to approve, delete, and edit all comments in his blog at any time. The approve settings just simply don't make the comment show up until it's approved.

I'm guessing you mean the Blog Bios, am I right?

Anyway, you'll need a picture of yourself and then get that scaled down. (If you need help with that just send me a PM.)

Then you need to make a Content Block. For making Content Blocks and other blog features check out the Blog FAQ. It has plenty of useful info.

In the Content Block you put the code for your picture that you use, the text, and any other formatting you wish to use.

Once a content Block is made you can drag it to where you want to place it.

If you need any help anywhere in this please send me a PM. smile.gif

How come people can't comment on my entries? It's locked. How can you unlock it?

You may have it set so that you need to approve comments. If that is the case and you don't want to have to approve comments do this:

Go to Your Blog Settings in your Control Panel. Scroll down until you find "Approve comments posted on your blog?"

Click the drop down box and set it to "No Approve."

I've tried that but it says that the administrators have it locked! How can I get them to unlock it? Do I ask them?

Blog bumping:

So as long as I'm a premier, I am allowed to bump my entries, correct? That is the stipulation?

I always need to approve comments in my blog, yet when I post in other peoples blogs, my post always appears immediately. Any way I can fix this?
