Pretty sure it just comes down to what the context is for your story? Is it THE power down there, or just power(s) in general?

I agree that it depends on the context of what this power is.

Yeah that's what I figured. In which case, it could be either case, depending on what I exactly want "power" to refer to. I'm going sans-"The" because that just sounds better to me, and there are multiple powers in play for this story. 

 

It's good that I won't have to worry about someone nitpicking my title on eventual release date. Thanks, y'all.
