Happened to me too (but obviously with Member and OBZPC), it isn't automatic.

 

So yea, take a screenshot of it and upload if you want.

Only Admins/Forum Admins can change what member group you're in, but they have to actually be online to do so. Don't worry; I'm sure one of them will get around to it soon.
