The Triptych by Demon Hunter.

Thinking about this myself. Some that immediately come to mind are Paradise Lost, Anathema, Devin Townsend Project, Primal Rock Rebellion, High On Fire and Katatonia.

 

I still have a fair few that I have yet to listen to that are supposed to be really good, these being Swans, Sabaton, Rush and Sylosis.

Also, Motionless In White. Not the sort of thing I usually seek out, but it's supposed to be really different from the generic metalcore they were doing before and I just want to listen to it because Tim Skold produced it, and I love pretty much everything he's done in his bands as a solo artist.

it's really good

Blunderbuss by Jack White was great, one of my favorites this year for sure.

The new House of Heroes was pretty good.

I can only think of 2 albums from this year that I listened to because I'm terrible at remembering things.

That being said, no matter however many I listened to, The Money Store by Death Grips is my fav of the year

agh I can't think of any from this year 'cause I tend to buy stuff that came out years ago before I even cared about music

 

as such, I also cannot conceive of a reason for just why I am bothering to write this
