How's Pale Communion?

better than Heritage. a lot more focused and well-composed. it kind of slacks toward the middle, but the first few and last few songs are all excellent.
stylistically it's not that much different, but the melodies are definitely a lot stronger and there are some riffs here and there that remind me of their older stuff.

Sounds pretty sweet. I liked Heritage quite a lot, so I guess I'll be checking the new one out sooner rather than later.

Which album would you recommend for a new listener?

I'd say either Blackwater Park or Ghost Reveries.

Jealousy level: over 9000! My favoritest band ever... though I honestly haven't been able to bring myself to finishing Pale Communion. My favorite album is Ghost Reveries, probably because of Reverie/Harlequin Forest. That song is pure euphoria :')
