The Apathy Pit

This Would Be The Glowing Weak Spot Were I A Boss In A Video Game

Ah, Away From Her. Forgot to mention that when I listed the texts I actually like from Film Studies. Well, I would like it if it weren't for the fact that it knows my one weakness. Sad old people...And boy does it love to manipulate that weakness...

Worst part is, I can't even find the theme.

Dark Clouds Gather...

Okay, so with the ever present threat of exams looming on the distance, I guess it's best to look over my progress and assess how I'll probably do. Film Studies is my first exam, and one I'm sort of okay with. I got a C in the mock exam, so that's a sort of good sign. I just want to try and aim higher. English Literature, I did very mediocre in the exam so I'm really going to have to pull out all the stops for this one. My biggest problem is trying to remember essential quotes. English Language, that's probably sorted. I know I did well in the coursework, so I've just got to maintain that. What I can't understand is how I'm one of the only two people in my class (And three of which I know in the whole year) who'll be doing their essay on how children acquire language. Seriously, it's way more interesting than the acquisition of writing! Then, after that...Business Studies. Oh, God, Business Studies, someone help me please. The mock exam went...Atrociously, let's say. This I'm absolutely dreading...Solatorobo needs to be less addictive so I can just keep going...

Ooh! But my doodles are getting better! I found a style I'm pretty good at so that's encouraging! ...Not exactly great artwork though... But still, a step in the right direction, I guess...

Also, my first counselling session for a couple of months went pretty well. If only I could have actually spoken an utterance without constantly stuttering...

Later Is Also Acceptable, I Suppose

Oh goody, Solatorobo: Red the Hunter arrived today. Just in time, I was about to actually get some work done. Now I can spend my afternoon playing a glorified version of Robot Wars!

So far, I'm loving this game. Red's an awesome character, the graphics are gorgeous for a DS game and it's all around fun. Yeah, just like that thing I used to have with video games before I started trying the hardcore stuff like Dark Souls.

... I Don't Even Get Paid Enough To Keep Up With These Expenses...

So much for not distracting myself from Frankestein. In Waterstones, I noticed an offer that if I bought the third novel in the Rain Wild Chronicles, I got a free copy of Temeraire. Guess what I was reading on the bus back. I guess I need some kind of stress reliever, with all of that stuff being painfully common at this time, exams and all, and reading novels about dragons definitely does that.

I Shall Receive Individual Pages Of The Manual Sent In The Post

Just caved in and bought Pandora's Tower off of Shopto.net. A little bit creepily, they then sent me an e-mail saying the product has been packaged and is ready for dispatching. Accompanying this e-mail was a picture of the package, like some insane hostage situation. I don't expect to have to meet the people of Shopto.net underneath the old bridge with £10,000 in a paper bag to actually get my game...

It's a good thing I got this. I never use my Wii, so it's good to find a game that I actually like the looks of, as well as Xenoblade Chronicles and The Last Story, both of which I'll probably buy after my exams. My 3DS never sees much usage these days, but I saw a discussion over Solatorobo: Red The Hunter the other day and it looks like just the kind of game I would absolutely love, so there was £10.00 spent on that. Now I just have to very impatiently wait for it to arrive. I hate buying stuff online!
