The Woes Of A Hipster

Posted by The Present Automaton , Mar 29 2012 · 202 views

Oh by the Gods, I think I'm becoming more and more of a hipster. So my favourite video games are NieR, Onimusha and Yakuza, I've recently fallen in love with a band called The Murder of My Sweet (There's very little lonelier than finding a new band with only about three of their songs on video hosting sites and barely 100,000 views between them), Globus are legendary, and if something gets too 'mainstream' I start to dislike it (Johnny Depp, newer series of The Mighty Boosh).

Someone help me.

*Looks between this entry and last entry* Well, there goes one idea. Hmm. I dunno, to be honest. =P

Though, while you're in this state, I recommend the band Iris, since they are awesome, but I have yet to see someone other than me mention them on here. =/

I'm always on the hunt for new music, so I'd be happy to check them out. Any particular songs you recommend?

When I'm Not Around, Intercede Light... Actually, you know what, just listen to anything you can, I'd be here for days listing all the songs I'd recommend. =) Try and save songs from Disconnect and Blacklight until last, those two have the most different sound of their four albums. =)

If you want further recommendations, I'll try and see which ones from Awakening and Wrath I like the most, aside from the two I already mentioned. =P

I'm going to go ahead and say The National, because that is ALWAYS who I recommend to everyone.

Okay, When I'm Not Around is pretty chill. I think I might be able to get into these guys. ^_^

And I'll be right on that, Xaeraz! *Salutes*

Sweet, that's cool. =D Again, it may take you a while to get used to the differences in sound between their first and fourth albums and their second and third(The second is what When I'm Not Around is from) albums, as it took me a while, but they are a good group. =)

In Spite and Whatever are also good, and also off Awakening, and honestly, anything off Wrath is nice. =) Like Intercede Light, Guide On Raging Stars, and Delivered One.
