Obligatory Marvel's Avengers Assemble Entry

Posted by The Present Automaton , May 31 2012 · 153 views

Yeah, everyone calls it The Avengers. But the title very clearly said Marvel's Avengers Assemble. So that's what it's called.

I know, I'm frustratingly late to the party. But I made it in the end and y'know what, I thoroughly loved it. The action scenes were so very well directed with enough screen time to give every character something to do and some well-placed comic relief that was genuinely amusing rather than frustrating. I don't know if I'd call it my favourite film, but it's going in the list of candidates, just because of how much fun it was. Just a pity I never managed to catch Iron Man 2, nor either of the Hulk films in time.

All in all, it was a fun venture out with friends that began with the invention of Zeus Juice (A fuel for busses) and ended on an amusing note with the suggestion that the whole thing took place in Red Skull's colon. It's probably best you just don't ask.

Marvel Avengers Assemble is the movie´s title in the UK and Ireland, whereas it´s called The Avengers elsewhere. ;)

Ah, that makes a little more sense.

...Darn it Britain, why can't you just be normal and call it The Avengers?

:kaukau: There was another film called The Avengers after the old espionage show, and that was a British production. I'm guessing that there was probably a legal technicality to having the same name.

I joked about it in this blog entry, actually.

Aye, I think I've heard of that, I think. Is that the one with Sean Connery running around in a teddy bear outfit?

EDIT: Nope, that's a completely different film called The Avengers. Sure is a popular title.
