The LEGO Movie

If there isn't a Bionicle reference in this film, I'm gathering my collection and throwing them at the windows of LEGO HQ.

How much do you want to bet that Lego puts a reference to Bionicle in the film and it is about them telling us to stop complaining or similar?

Not saying you are, but they probably get a lot of that from certain parts of the fanbase.

I don't really care. If I watch the Lego movie, I'm watching it for Lego in general, and I'm not the type to nitpick over what doesn't get included when there's so much that will be. Although since the trailer calls to such minor parts of Lego's history as the NBA figs, I wouldn't be surprised if there's at least SOME Bionicle cameo or mention. What's less certain would be a Galidor reference; is Lego ready to look back at that era and laugh? Would it feel too bizarre to audiences whose understanding of Lego begins and ends at the basic bricks? The latter question also applies to lines like Belville and Clikits that eschewed the typical style and scale of traditional Lego.
