A Thought On The Fc-g

Bzpower
Once, in the vauge past, I was a game maker. I used the program GameMaker, and I learned GML. It was almost all I did. Now in days, I focus less on games and more on animation (that's where the real money is people; animated movies are only as expensive as the animation program and labor), but as I crossed the FCG forurm, I found something quite disturbing. The games there get no attention. Young game makers are left in the dust, and even good games are hardly noticed.

Games take weeks, months, years to make. Even with teams of experts, a good game is hard to make. So one kid using a cheap program and making a great, fun, game is quite rare. Yet the FCG forum is one of the most ignored forums on BZPower.

I must ask people this; why doesn't anyone look at these works of art? If nothing else, people could nudge beginners in the right direction. People don't seem to realize just how hard games are to make. Play Halo 3 all you want, folks, but remember that even Halo 3 has faults. That was with dozens of teams of experts that were being payed a large sum. So when a game that is actually is good comes about in the FCG, it hurts to see it ignored and gather dust.

Outbreak

Outbreak Talk
I miss Outbreak. It really was what kept me going. There was always something going on there; any problems were quickly eased over. Stupidity wasn't tolerated there, and if a player had a problem, s/he spoke and people listening. I may have been a [No bypassing of world filter plzkthx - Valenti] back then, but it was still fun.

I really do miss it. *Sulks off*

A Word On Twilight

Posted by Engineer Alexandra Humva , Nov 21 2009 · 23 views

Twilight is bad. We get it.

People complain about fangirls and their raving ways.

What about hateboys?

I'm sick and tired of seeing haters bashing Twilight. It's a bad book; move on people. Fangirls go to extremes; as do hateboys and hategirls. I once say something as bad as a bloody Edward doll at my school (with real blood, mind you). So I just want it said once and for the record:

Shut up about Twilight. You haters are what make it so popular. If we'd just keep our mouths shut, the fangirls will have no one to fight with. They'll stop be such a problem.

I'm willing to bet my honor on that, people.

Survival Lessons

Life
So, yesterday, I started this survival class. I get extra credit for my school grades, plus I'll be prepared when the US falls and anarchy ensures. So, a few things I learned;

1~If it hurts, scream. Curse. Let it out. When you're injuried and out by yourself, to **** with being a 'man.' Sucking it up will only make it hurt worse and even slow the healing process. Scream, and the pain is let out.

2~If your out in the middle of nowhere with a group, it's yourself first, then the group. Check yourself before checking others. It does no good to figure out someone else is ok and never notice your ribs are cracked.

3~Don't fight honorably. If you're trapped on an island with hostile natives, in a middle of a war, stuck in anarchy, or anywhere in a fight, to **** with honor. Your goal is to make sure your enemy can't harm you, and that means you attack fast and quick. You'll be a dead man if you try to give your enemy a chance.

Fun stuff. It may seem unethical at first, but if you look at it, it makes sense.

Update For Outbreak: The Movie

Posted by Engineer Alexandra Humva , Nov 15 2009 · 57 views
Update
Believe it or not, fans of Outbreak and random people looking at my blog, Outbreak I's digital translation is still in progess. I have a schedule, and I plan to stick to it. Here's a nice chart of updates.

~Rewriting of the script is coming along well; it'll be done late Thanksgiving-early Christmas.
~Modeling for the characters is coming along well; expect an Alex model soon.
~Official release date has been brought from the offices of Humva Productions; Fall of 2012.
~Progress is being made in the sound area, however, I fear this movie may have to be subtitled.

Thus finishes this update from Humva Productions. Now you all know this project isn't dead.

His books are pure awesome.

I'm on Mars right now, and his constant hints that life existed (or still exists) are driving me insane. I'm going have to burn the midnight oil to get that book done.

How is it that a cheesy 70s kids show still appeals to people, not all of which aren't little kids?

WARNING:

The following blog contains excessive rambling on the world and extremely poor paragraphing. If you are easily offended or turned off by these two things, leaving now would be a good idea.

This blog is written by Alex Humva, penname of some random teenager named Alex Censored. He writes stories, writes rants, writes screenplays, plays games, makes games, has a terrible work ethic, and is generally sarcastic. He believes in a Judao-Christian god, but most other people who do too give him a glare because of his weird beliefs, possibly because he's somehow bi at the same time. He's an utter equalist who feels that any discrimination amongst humans for things they were born with is wrong. He doesn't care about xenos though, let them all burn.

He's also an aspiring engineer who hopes to get a scholarship at his local big engineering college and one day help humanity. More likely he'll be a pencil pusher in a basement somewhere, but he's a bloody minded optimist.

Because of his peculiar personality and beliefs, he gets into fights often, though they usually end when he wakes up the next morning and doesn't feel motivated anymore.
