It's About Time
I've been delaying a real photoshoot of, well, anything, because two weeks ago I ordered a refurbished Nikon d3000, which is basically the replacement for my old d40 on the market. It's not a huge upgrade, but it was cheap and I really wanted a new camera. So I paid ~$300 for it, and decided to also put out for the three-day shipping. Now, remember, this is a ~$600 camera, so this is half off. Two weeks later, and two blizzards later, I finally got the camera.
And when I ran the shutter count, to see how many times the shutter had been activated from the previous owner before it was refurbished, I got this delightful message:
Shutter count: 2.
That's right. It had been used once. The second photo was the one I took to test the numbers with.
I got a brand new camera for half price. It was worth the wait, and I think I'm going to sell my d40 and that should make the same amount back that I spent, so I'm going to basically have traded my used camera for a brand new one.
Awesome.
Expect some MOC photos soon.
