Speaking as both a UW and WSU student, both teams suck.

 

At first I thought OSU refered to the Oregon Beavers, but I guess you're referring to Oklahoma.

I love my school. I spent four years there, and sports are fun. No, they're not they only reason to judge a school. But they're fun, and people who get grumpy about it should chill out.

 

Also, yes, Oklahoma State is the school I went to, and am going to again this next semester. I like the state of Oregon, but I don't see myself at either of their flagship institutions.

I get annoyed when my classes are cut do to funding issues and then my school goes and hires a new football coach for lots of money. Not saying sports are bad, but it doesnt make sence to me, so I decided to speak on it.

The athletic program at most schools is funded independently from the academics. It's why the school's website and the atheltic website are usually different. I know OSU's athletics are funded entirely by boosters and athletic revenue, mainly from football tickets and sports paraphenalia.
