It's a big day tomorrow.

Since the move to Portland in June 2012, I've been working at the same Starbucks store. I was promoted March of 2013, and I still stayed at this store, which is unusual for a promotion. Usually they promote you and then ship you out to another store. But I stayed! Which is cool, because this is the busiest store in the PNW, and the prestige with helping run this store is incredible. As the supervisor on my shifts, I've broken every drive-thru store record Starbucks corporate has had, which is, of course, the hugest thing I could say on my resume when I look back at my Starbucks career.

However, this store, being so busy, so prestigious, has a tendency for high burn-out, and I'm a little tired of, well, being tired all the time. So I'm transferring to another store. I talked with the SM of the store over in front of the Oregon Convention Center (which is where BricksCascade is held!) a few weeks ago. She used to be the ASM at my store, so I know her pretty well. And suddenly tomorrow is my last day at my store. Really quick turnaround!

So tomorrow is my last day at my current store.

And also the night we leave for NYC!

We're catching a red eye to NYC tomorrow night ("we" is Nukaya, Kakaru, and myself). I'm excited to see all of my friends who will be there (Scott and Andrew, Andrew, Yanni, Hanni, Peter, Ben, Jen, all the other random people I'm forgetting!) I'm also excited for the BIONICLE 2015 panel on Thursday, which is, of course, the entire reason we're going! I was able to get an invite from LEGO for the event (being the new BIONILUG ambassador has perks, amongst other reasons), and I'm just ready to be there. Plus, I've never been to NYC, and I need a Starbucks mug for my collection from the city.

On top of that, there are some cool surprises related to BIONICLE and the like coming to this blog Thursday and Friday thanks to NYC, so stay tuned! I've got some cool stuff for you guys! And some of it might just blow your mind.

Tell everyone I say hi! Literally everyone.  I want you to find every single person in New York City and tell them I say hi.  Do it.
