I'm bored and overworked. Halp.

So, this is a unique position I find myself in.

On the one hand, I worked almost 4 weeks without pauses. I need a vacation badly. I need time to recharge my mental batteries.

On the other? I spent almost 4 weeks without pauses. I forget how to -relax.- Therefore, I'm sitting here looking at random stuff online, playing music, but it does no good to me unless I go do something. Truly not in the mood for gaming, btw.

... Maybe Netflix? Suggestions? HALP! D:

Were you working on a Borg Cube in that short a time, with the expectation that it had to be done?

Sorry dude, last year I went three months working 7 days a week in 100 degree weather. I would trade you jobs in a second :P

Nah, just writing vital documents for transportation projects that affect tens of thousands of people daily, with deadlines sometimes as short of a day or two, and an expectation to be available during evenings and weekends. :P

Preach it, brother.  Reminds me of the time I worked on a farm for a summer, mowing acres of six-foot-tall, three-in-thick thistle with a hand sickle in 100+ degree weather.

Eight years.

Eight years I spent toiling on a hot grill.

Eight years I spent without a single vacation day.

Eight years without a sick day.  Nothing, not even strep throat or bronchitis prevented me from coming in.

You sir?  You sir know nothing of needing a vacation badly.  You know nothing of forgetting how to relax.

Once I was raking leaves and got a little tired so I'm going to compare your pain to mine.

Four weeks without a vacation is really not that weird? The average worker in America only gets like one week of vacation a year, you know.

I think he's trying to say that he worked weekends too.

But hey at least you still have your job.  ;)

For the record, I'm not asking for -real- vacation, just a -day off-.

I've also not had a -real- vacation in the two years I've been employed.

When I am in need of relaxation, I go look at My Little Pony fanart or even watch an episode. Somehow I doubt that's the kind of suggestion you're looking for, though. </onlyteasing>

I was tempted to say something like this.
