- The hacker incident completely threw me off in both RPGs.
- Those stomach issues I've complained about in the past have been really bad for the past two weeks, so much so that I'm finally getting checked out for possible diseases that could be causing them.
- Mass Effect 3
- Stress from getting ready for the AP History test tomorrow.
Rest assured, after tomorrow I should be able to commit full-time to everything again. Especially once I get a schedule put together of what all I need to get done in RotR and DR.
Anyway, happy anniversary to Rise of the Rockets! It's been a long, strange trip, spanning well over 200 pages, and I'm excited for whatever else is to come--regardless of how good or bad it is.
As a treat, everyone gets a freebie reward--as per tradition! So use it however you want, whenever you want, and on (almost) whatever you want!
New rival looks pretty cool, though.
Also, I got my actual grade for my in-class essay. 24/30. That is quite a bit better than that 5/30 that was previously entered. So hooray! =)
Oh, and I found out that for a graduation requirement in which we have to do a project relating to our future career goals, I'm allowed to use my RPGs (focusing primarily on Day Run) as my project. Since running an RPG is very manager-like and writing-related.
Go me. :Py
Oh, and Rise of the Rockets players--keep an eye on this blog for the next few days; I'm starting a project that I'm going to need quite a bit of help with. Stay tuned for more information.
The reason for this is that one of my cousins had a mental breakdown yesterday and, understandably, my entire family is extremely worried about her. She's been hospitalized and the doctors think she's having a manic psychotic breakdown or bi-polar manic schizophrenia, which has only gotten worse since yesterday--my aunt and uncle flew out to Seattle on short notice to be with her and she already doesn't recognize them or anyone else. In my mom's words she "has lost touch with reality and thinks she is living in a video game and we are all players in it."
I'll be back tomorrow. Until then I'm handing off moderation duties to Blade in RotR and Kal in Day Run, if you guys don't mind; if so, then just keep an eye on people for me.
Still, I won't find out for sure until I get the paper back. Here's hoping...
In RPG news, there's a slew of new activity in both RotR and Day Run. We've had... I think five or six new players in the latter in the past two days alone, so that's good. One of the players, too, was the awesome Half-Dragon, who was a key player in Night Ride and who I haven't seen for over a year now, so I'm glad to see that he's back in the Day Run/Night Run story.
In terms of RotR--the short slump we had seems to have gone by, as a number of people have started posting again. Unfortunately I think this is going to be our new trend, but hopefully we can get a steady pace going again at some point. One of the things that just officially started today, as a matter of fact, is what looks to be a huge battle--eight of the ten Ancient Darkrai and an apparition of their leader vs. Rayquaza, Kyogre, Groudon (who has not been seen since the beginning of the first thread,) the Alpha/Matriarch Deoxys, three newly revived Deoxys, three Latios, and three Latias.
Needless to say, I'm excited.
So yeah. Today has been a good day.
I am happy.
As a result, here's a thought to anyone reading this who has not yet joined: If you have not seen ROTR yet, give it a look and consider joining it. We always welcome new players, and there's no doubt that we need the extra body -- currently there are only six or so active members, and while they are doing a fantastic job of continuing the story, more people would make things way more awesome.
Regardless, I'm glad to see things are picking up again.
In other news, I got my driving permit today! So exciting!
UPDATE --- 1/24/12Here's a handy little recap for anyone who was in the RPG in the last few months but has lost track of what's happening:
OOC: Oh heyhey it's Umbra of Doom. Glad to see you again!
All right, well, Blade listed off some of the more important things, but there's quite a bit he missed. So here's an organized list. =)SpoilerAnd I believe that covers most of it -- for you and everyone else. Although, to everyone else, if I missed something, speak up.
And I'd also like to welcome back Umbra of Doom! Since he has been gone for a while! And such!
that ROTR has its own page on a certain website.
A website on which idioms and writing conventions are listed.
With examples from the story.
And it's in a preliminary state. As in it is not as big or expansive as most other pages.
Like the BZPRPG page. Because there is also one for that.
Now I wonder who could have done that, out of some mixture of vanity and sheer, sheer boredom? (Mostly boredom.) :]
