4000 BC: Persepolis is founded from a group of hunter-gatherers, having discovered the secrets of farming.

3920 BC: Advanced technology in the form of archery is discovered in an ancient ruin, giving the fledgling city an edge over the barbarian tribes scattered throughout the region.

In the same year contact is made with the nation of Ethiopia.

3400 BC: The Persians begin a culture of honor, respecting deeds on the battle field and giving a bonus when attacking barbarians.

3240 BC: Hunters tell tales of a mountain to the west named Sinai.

3080 BC: Discipline becomes a cultural value of the Persians.

3040 BC: A formal calendar system is founded in commemoration of a major victory against barbarian raiders.

2800 BC: Carthaginian scouts arrive in the region from the south, making contact with the city of Persepolis.

2750 BC: Contact is made with the ottomans to the west.

2560 BC: A system of writing is adopted, allowing diplomatic relations to begin with the other civilizations in the region.

2520 BC: A militaristic culture starts to take effect in Persepolis.

2360 BC: Barbarian raids increase in the empire due to the lack of nearby warriors, the chieftain orders a military campaign against future encroachment.

1960 BC: The campaign against the barbarians continues.

The same year, a policy of basic freedoms is adopted to counter the increasingly militaristic society

1530 BC: The Persians and Carthaginians make a formal declaration of friendship, increasing diplomatic ties.

1040 BC: The empire is restructured in to a republic, giving absorbed tribes power in government.

1000 BC: The last barbarian stronghold in the west is smashed by a large military force; they will no longer threaten the city.

960 BC: An Ethiopian embassy is built in Persepolis strengthening diplomacy between the two neighbor states.

600 BC: An Ottoman embassy is constructed in Persepolis making it a diplomatic hub of the known world.

500 BC: A small farming village is formally recognized in the court, as the city of Pasargadae, construction begins quickly on a road to link the two cities.

475 BC: A professor at the library of Persepolis invents a new type of bow which is quickly shipped out to the archers guarding the border.

325 BC: The road connecting the two cities is complete granting a boost to science.

275 BC: The town of Susa is recognized by the court and is brought in to the republic.

125 BC: The ideas of collective rule are incorporated into the government doing away with the court and implementing a parliamentarian system of government where representatives of each city are elected by popular vote.

25 BC: The small fishing village of Ecbatana is recognized by the parliament and elects its first representative.

250 AD: The Persians enter the medieval era.

375 AD: After almost 300 years a road now connects Ecbatana to the rest of the empire.

400 AD: A formalized currency system is created; the mint in Persepolis begins creating coins, which soon spread throughout the empire.

475 AD: The Ethiopians ask for a declaration of friendship, eager for allies the Persians accept.

600 AD: Ethiopia and Persia sign an open borders agreement.

660 AD: Both Carthage and The Ottomans follow Ethiopia’s lead signing open agreements with Persia.

860 AD: Aztec scouts make contact and return to their city with several ambassadors who build a embassy.

In the same year Carthage denounces Ethiopia for unknown reasons.

920 AD: Contact is made with the Arabians and embassies are traded.

1000 AD: The ottomans declare war on the Aztecs.

1130 AD: A philosopher from Persepolis founds the Academy of Persepolis

1180 AD: The Persians advance to the Renaissance Age.

1230 AD: After several spying transgressions by Carthage the Persians denounce them. They subsequently denounce the Persians as well.

1280 AD: Even more spying leads to a declaration of war on Carthage,

1290 AD: The ongoing war leads to The Ottomans denouncement of Persia.

1330 AD: The Arabians lose their capital.

1340 AD: The Carthaginians try to sue for peace, they are flatly denied until they can offer a better deal.

I get bored of writing all this up.

I saw something similar to this on another website and thought I'd try it my self, turns out I'm not as good at creating stories.

And I'm pretty sure I know which other thing you're talking about. I haven't read any of his Swedish playthrough yet. P:
