Digital Graphics Tablet

So I have to upgrade by Adobe software and buy Microsoft Office to use on my laptop.

Now I also have enough money to buy a Tablet which would come in handy for making designs and other artwork on the computer.

There is a bundle I can buy and get Microsoft Office and a VisTablet for 159.98 at my school store.

Microsoft Office only cost $79.98 and the VisTablet cost 89.98, which equals 169.96. A total savings of like $10.

I could just buy Microsoft Office from the school and buy a Wacom from Amazon. I’d get free shipping on the Wacom on Amazon.

There are two sizes the smallest one is $88.20, with Micrsoft Office that equals 168.18. Now this small version is smaller than the VisTablet.

The small Wacom is 8.4 x 7.6, active area is 5.8 W x 3.7 D and the VisTablet is 12 X 10, active area 9.5 X 5.5.

.

If you look at reviews you can see that the Wacom is #318 and #4 whereas the VisTablet is #4,948 and #22. Wacom has a 4.5 stars and VisTablet has 3.

Clearly everything is pointing towards the Wacom even though it has the smaller drawing area. It even comes with more things than the VisTablet.

Package contains pen tablet and pen, mouse, pen stand, package of 3 replacement pen nibs, USB cable, software DVD, and more

It’s even certified to work with Vista.

I already bought the art supplies I needed and I don’t need any books for class. For the Medium Wacom it’s $167.55, 9.2 x 11.1, active area is 8.5 W x 5.3 D. Yeah looks like I’m slightly under the gun to get that one. It’d be around $557.51 and I only have $510 left.

Size doesn't particularly matter, unless you make really long brush strokes. I work on a 6x4 Wacom Graphire tablet, and it hasn't failed me now. Sure, I get a little nitpicky on how I can't be as insanely detailed as an Intuos or a Cintiq, but money was my issue. xP

You should try Bamboo, works just like a Graphire and has more buttons. And is just as cheap.
