Well I called Dell the other day cause my laptop fan runs a special way it shouldn't. A good bit of people have the problem and if you take the battery out it will work normally for any given period of time.

When I called the foreign guy told me to take out the battery and update the BIOS. That's what I did before...

I called in because that pretty much stopped working. But since it actually worked when they had me do it they said they'd call back.

I'm still waiting for them to call..................

 

Oh and I know.

Don't get a Dell get a Mac. :rolleyes:

We've had soooo much trouble with Dell Customer service. ughhhh. Thankfully we've gotten great discounts becuse of the problems they gave us.

I reported the problem back in October and they actually had me wipe my computer and even restore it to the factory default and reinstall the OS.

I found out about that battery trick back then after what they told me to do. I actually suggested the battery trick to them after finding it online.

 

It only took like five months and forty minutes but they're finally sending a technician to our house. They're shipping the parts they think I need to him, a fan and keyboard. The only thing is if they aren't the problem they'll have to ship more parts and send him back again. I couldn't send it back to the factory though because I need my computer starting this weekend for my online class.

 

If you're wondering I have a Studio 1535.
