Technic Coliseum Feedback Thread

Pahrak Model ZX

Thanks to everyone who participated in the tournament! It was loads of fun!

Now that you've had time to see what the Coliseum is like both in normal gameplay and tournament mode, I want to get some feedback. What do you like about the game? What could be improved? Suggestions on anything else?

I want to improve the Coliseum as much as possible, so please, give me some feedback!

Current Suggestions:

Accepted-Specific arenas that sponsors can choose to fight in

Accepted-Adding new fighters

Accepted-2-on-2 matches

-Upgrade stats of unsponsored fighters when sponsored fighters become too powerful

Accepted-Add tournament dates to calendar

I think it'd be cool if you could add some new characters every, I dunno, 2 weeks? Like new Toa, Glatorian (makes sense to put them in- this is a big coliseum), maybe some of the HF villains? Either way, it'd be cool.

I also have this idea where there would be different 'arenas' you could choose from for your battles (they would be agreed upon like sponsoring in the initial challenge PM), each with something unique, like a Ga-Koro style arena floating in a lake, or one with pillars that can be used for higher ground, all that.

I'll consider adding new fighters, but we still have plently available for new players. As for arenas, I suggested something in the old topic but it didn't get much support. However, I'd be open to proposing it again. I'll work on something.

For fighters, I think you should add these:

Flare and Spark

Glatorians

HF Villains

I would suggest a Roborider, but you have all of them. I also like Dual's idea. I think that Tournaments should be that. That way, logistics wouldn't be complex. Your allies and opponents are decided randomly.

I agree with this, but there should also be more Toa- probably Metru, Inika, and Mahri. Maybe Adaptive Armor as an upgrade for Toa Nuva?

My only concern with adding Vahki and Rahkshi is that their staffs are available as items, so I may have to rework the powers they are able to use in battle. I'm also planning to add some weapons from Bohrok and Toa, so there would be a similar issue there. I'll put some thought into it, though.

Remove SOLID light holograms, they were never made in any canon.

With them light is highly overpowered, lasers, blinding, invisibility and blasts.

Yes, they were. To see what exactly Light could do, I went to the Biosector page. Solek's Light matoran ability (When he was connected to Kopaka) was to make solid light holograms. Av-toa can use all of the Av-Matoran connected to Toa abilities, with training. What is a 'blast' anyways?

Just firing your power, but I'm fairly sure Toa can't lemme check.

Just found out there was no confirmation, never stated they could.

Never stated they could do what? Light has a bunch of restrictions to it anyways, like only one solid hologram and one blinding flash.

Well, I mean, since all I do is self serving to make Torch more awesome(look it up, itʻs true.), Iʻd suggest making toughness more useful. Because right now, high strength means you basically instakill people in melee, high agility makes you a champion sprinter who canʻt be hit, high mind makes you a BIOTIC ELEMENTAL GOD, and high toughness... makes you die at a slightly slower rate?

I'll hold off on more Light restrictions for now, but if I get more complaints I'll impose a time limit on solid holograms. As for toughness, I guess I'll try to give it more consideration?

Fire is far too resistant against fire, a flaming armor would for example kill the wearer and melting a whole arena floor to magma is extremely overpowered.

I can agree with the magma floor--if the fighter isn't flying they probably wouldn't survive that. I'm not so sure about the flame armor, though I suppose I could have fighters limit it to just heating their armor.

Link to comment

Well, It depends how much you heat. If you turn all of the Coliseum to magma, yeah thatʻs too much. But if you only heat the section your opponent is on, thatʻs fine. In fact, turning the floor under people to magma was practically Tahuʻs signature attack.
