Type's broken in terms of weaknesses/super effectives, IMO, especially since electric is now the ONLY type that can have no weaknesses, with things like levitate or an air balloon.

 

Also it has Emolga which I HATE HATE HATE

Yeah, I'm frequently irritated when going up against Electric types since I don't always have a Ground type on my team. Emolga doesn't bother so much because I always had a Roggenrola/Boldore/Gigalith when fighting Elesa.

I wish more of the "pseudo-Pikachus" were more useful in-game. As it is, Pikachu's the only one that can evolve, and with the Light Ball, it doesn't really need to. Pachirisu, Emolga, and Dedenne are great designs, and if only there were some way to use them more effectively I most certainly would do so.

My favorite Electric-type is a toss-up between Ampharos and Luxray. I love the look of Mega Ampharos and would've used one in Y, but by the time I got to where I could get Mareep I already had far too many Pokémon with weaknesses to Ground.
