KHII has a manga? Where is this magic and is it not silly like the random manga I found for Chain of Memories? (please no?)

I really want to finish playing the first game. And play another game from this series. Have a feeling the later ones lay the friendship thing a bit thick from what I've seen, so I'd have to make a drinking game out of it... (rootbeer floats are delicious)

So far there is manga for Kingdom Hearts, Chain of Memories, 358/2 Days, and II (which was put on hiatus for a while and is now continuing).  They're all written by the same guy, but as I'm told the CoM manga is the silliest.  I'm not sure where would be the best place to read them, but they have been/are being translated by Tokyopop or Yen Press.

 

Yeah, friendship is kinda overdone, but it's still interesting.  If you have a PS3, there are now HD collections of the series: 1.5 which contains Kingdom Hearts (Final Mix), Chain of Memories, and movies covering 358/2 Days; and the soon to be released 2.5, which contains Kingdom Hearts II (Final Mix), Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep (Final Mix), and movies covering Re:coded (which we're told will include brand new info!).  That's everything but Kingdom Hearts 3D.  3D also features summaries of the previous games that are unlocked to read as you play, to try to get newcomers up to speed.

 

Though I'll be frank: the series doesn't make a whole lot of sense no matter how knowledgeable you are about it.  But that's part of the charm, I suppose...

 

I believe there actually is a Kingdom Hearts drinking game.  Don't have the link on me, though.

I grew up with Nintendo. Play station is the stuff of eeeeevil. I mean, I guess it does have like two video games I'm interested in. The downside is that neither of those are Mario kart...

That's why I'm saying we need Amano on KHIII, he's doing a much better job with Kairi in the manga than the writers of the games thus far have been.
