I'm gonna have my own custom Duplo brick made to commemorate my Lego Final Fantasy Project. It is simple and straight forward, but it is something special for me. So basically, I am gonna have my own "promotional" Duplo Brick.

I assume it's Duplo just for the sizing...I mean, God forbid you'd be building a FF MOC out of friggin' Duplo.

I do believe that it's common in the LEGO community to commemorate events with special-edition Duplo bricks. Or something like that.

Yeah, that's right - they put out promo Duplo bricks for events like store openings, Legoland events, etc.
