The Lonely Barricades

My dear computer

I hate you.
In other news, I have now served at a wedding: it was actually easier than Sunday mass.

Note to Self

Do not, ever, ever, take up Do not bypass the filter! -Kohaku perpetual question (what's on your mind?) on 9/11. People are hardly rational on any day, especially on that.

On the bright side, I have learned that I can take people I've known for ages insulting me to my face without getting anything more than mildly annoyed. I think my chat debates are paying off! :P

Mayhaps a recap

Posted by Zarayna , in Life, RPGs, Random babbling Sep 11 2012 · 685 views

So anyways, haven't posted on here in a bit, so I figured I might as well ramble a bit.

Working on an RPG with Krayzikk for the upcoming RPG contest, and it's going quite well. It should be interesting seeing the competition as the deadline gets closer.

As to real life, I'm currently feeling pretty jubilant, despite the fact that my sister is moving back in next week; after her stormy exit, I am not looking forwards to having her in the same house again. But anyways, I just discovered today that an impediment I thought I had towards entering seminary isn't one, so I'm pretty happy! Gnawing worry about that sort of thing is not fun at all.

Looking forwards to seeing Kingdom of Heaven once I get it via interlibrary loan. The fact that it's in the crusades and is supposed to present a fairly good picture of it alone makes me look forwards to seeing it.

Also, is anyone else doing Nanowrimo? I'm already making an outline of the story I'm writing for it.

Vocations and vacations

Posted by Zarayna , in BZPower, Life Aug 09 2012 · 558 views

Today I had an interview with the vocations director of my diocese. It went very well, only now I have like a 12 page application that includes writing a short autobiography, and an essay that i need to write.

On other fronts, I figure I might as well announce this fact: I'm leaving BZP come next week. Not permanently, but at least for a week, and after I return, I probably won't be on much at all. In short, I'm trying to majorly cut back on my time on the internet, and BZP, as well as most sites I visit are getting cut. I might be on very occasionally, but for the most part I'm out.

EDIT: My mistake, it's a 24 page application. :/

Random thoughts

What is it that makes a person more shy online than in real life, and more shy online after meeting someone in real life?

Sorry, completely random off topic idea. It was TOTALLY not inspired by ANYONE.

Well, SftS is still standing, somewhat. I can tell you for sure that in a week or two, it's going to change a lot. Most specifically, I'll be taking a bit of a step back from it.

Did you see them going off to fight?
Children of the barricade that didn't last the night.
They were schoolboys, never held a gun,
Fighting for a new world that would rise up like the sun.
Where's that new world now the fighting's done?
