While My Arm Is Messed Up...

Posted by Kughii , in Poetry Nov 17 2011 · 293 views
Dear All,
Yeah, yeah... I'm not writing in the RPG. Sorry, my arm is still not up to par, so I'm typing this with my left hand and giving my right a break.

I wrote this about three months ago... Enjoy!

Because sometimes -

Just sometimes

It might help someone

To cast off the net of fear,

Staring unblinkingly

At the Vision in a mirror

Because sometimes -

Maybe Sometime

If I give up for once

Let my Jaw slacken from the prize

It might help someone

At night I lie in bed

sheet pulled down and fan oh high

saying "I'm not good enough"

"I'm not smart enough"

"Maybe I should just die"

I only serve my fear

Pulling on the net

Wrapping myself in a cocoon of misery

So sometime

I may fall

Because Sometimes -

Just sometimes

I stop indulging in self pity

Stopping the gears of a great

Grinding machine

Piecing back my heart

From the dust on the floor

To raise my head and face the night

Just sometimes

I smile

Because sometimes -

Just sometimes

I open up my heart

Letting worlds grow

Separating in

From out

No longer

I cry

Not in sadness

But in joy

Because sometimes -

Just sometimes

It might help someone

I Love You Enough To Fix You

Posted by Kughii , in Poetry Oct 26 2011 · 395 views
Kughii, Acceptance, conundrums and 4 more...
I love you.
Take my words,
And place them in your heart,
Like the batteries to an alarm clock,
setting off your world at the right time.

Let me help you,
Let me open up that door,
Get you that coffee at Starbucks.

Take a look.
I'm not doing anything,
You wouldn't do for me,

Sitting down on summer nights,
Bundled up for Winter's sights,
Spread eagle on the floor,
Light flitting from around the edge,
An opening door.

I love you enough to fix you,
Don't turn away from me.

Acceptance from the many,
Acceptance isn't just a game.

To out in the streets,
Not normal,
Not sweet,
Broken golf club,
half-gone cigarette,
Sweetly talking,
Like you know what's best.

Speak softly.

Whisper loud.

Children should not meet the dying breath of your world.

When you go with a bang,
I'll be at the side of the bridge,
As you drop.

It was your own fault.

I loved you enough to fix you,
Why wouldn't you let me fix you?

You were my Ibis,
My exotic bird,
Dying with a croak,
Disheveled in my driveway.

Was being me so bad?

NOTE: NO, I'm not suicidal, phycopathic or anything like that... I've been writing an essay about the meaning of James Hurst's "Scarlet Ibis" and I needed to vent. Do enjoy!
