Well, that's pretty much everything that I brought for this Steam Sale. Yeah, I know I brought more stuff for others rather than myself. I can't help it. XD

In other news, I am on vacation from work this week (Like usually since we always have a couple of shut down weeks in July.). I can't say I have any plans really, outside of work on making something for BioniLUG display for BrickFair VA. That and well, driving practice since I would like to try to get my license by November this year.

Speaking of BrickFair VA, I don't think I mention this here yet, but I did buy visitor tickets for that. So you folks might see me on the Saturday visitor day (Assuming nothing comes up.). I try my best to say hello, if I do end up being there.

Alright, that's enough from me. I hope you all have a great day and thank you for taking the time to read this. Talk to you later, BZPers.

Steam Sale Loot or lack there of.

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Steam, Video Games, Real Life Jul 24 2013 · 61 views

Hey, folks. I thought I pop in and give a sale report like I did for last year's summer sale. Of course, considering I didn't really pay much attention to Steam last week, I didn't really bother with most of deals this time around.

That and this PC can't really run anything on Steam that isn't a Retro old school style title, so there wasn't much point in buying games there when all they would do is sit on my computer and remind me that I need to get a new one (Which admittedly I should of done by now, but I been kind of lazy about it.).

But anyway, what did I buy during this year's Steam Sale?

-  Awesomenauts (3-Pack, which means I get two copies to give to friends. I already gave one of those away, but other one is still up for grabs, so let me know if you want it. By the way, I can't actually run this game. XD), Price: $6.78

Total spent during the entire sale: $6.78

So yeah, I didn't really take advantage of this year's sale at all. Oh, well, its not big of deal and it saves me money anyway. =P

Of course, that isn't help by fact that I keep buying stuff for my 3DS (I brought Attack of The Friday Monsters! - A Tokyo Tale a few days ago. I hadn't play it yet though. XD), which I seem to be addicted to play games on lately. I think Animal Crossing: New Leaf is to blame for that mostly. =P And well, the 3DS does seems to be getting itself a lot of good titles lately (I can't wait for Pokemon X & Y later this year.).

Like I actually been thinking about maybe picking up Shin Megami Tensei IV since the Club Nintendo deal does sound kind of appealing actually. Plus, it is an RPG and I love those types of games. Oh, speaking of RPGs, I got EarthBound for my Wii U, which is awesome. I can't play a whole lot of it right now though since I need to get some things out of way before Thursday comes around.

Speaking of Thursday, that's day of Zelda Symphony and I honestly cannot wait for it to come. I imagine it probably be the highlight of my year. Oh, and my sister manage to snatch herself some tickets, so she will be coming along with me and my friend to the symphony. :)

Alright, I think I did enough rambling here for one day. Thanks for taking time to read this, folks. I hope you all have a great day. Talk to you later, BZPers.

Back to The Future: The Game is Awesome!

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Random, Steam Aug 19 2012 · 91 views

Hey, folks. I am just popping in after having played part 3 of the Back to the Future game and man, I am loving that game. I seriously don't regret buying it during the Steam Summer Sale, if anything it is my most favorite purchase from the sale. Although that's not really surprising since Back to the Future has and always will be my favorite movie.

But man, it makes me wish that I did not have work tomorrow as I would love to move on to part 4 already as I am really interested in what is going to happen next, especially considering part 3 had such a downer ending. Oh, well, I have to wait until after work, if I don't get sidetrack with something else. Which man, that is happening a lot lately.

Not that surprising though as this is going to be my last week of summer "vacation" so to speak, so naturally I been trying to get a bunch of things done at once when realistically I don't really have the time to complete them all in just a day's time, especially when I try to tackle big things like cleaning the basement up (Which I only work on for about two days now because I been distracting myself with other stuff.). *shrugs* I guess it is just a bad habit of mines really.

But anyway, I also downloaded Team Fortress 2 from Steam today and I think I might be give it a try tomorrow (Assuming it will work for me, which it might not work considering how bad my graphics card.). I doubt I really get into it though. But well, I thought I would try something new is all. *shrugs*

Uh...Well, I can't think of anything else to talk about and to be honest, I imagine I am boring most of you anyway with my somewhat daily entries here. *sigh*

So yeah, I guess I am just going to end this here to spare you guys from more of the inner working of JMJ's mind. Thanks for taking time to read this entry. I am sorry if it was boring to read. I don't know what to say really about that as well, I am boring guy, so there is not much that I can do about it. But anyway, good night, BZPers.

Playing Portal 2 Blind

Posted by Jedi Master J. , in Steam, Random Jan 06 2012 · 90 views
Mini-Rant
Hi, BZPers. Its me again. I am just popping in to give you all another update on the misadventures of JMJ. Today's topic again involves my misadventures of playing games on Steam. This time obviously it involved trying to play Portal 2; which as I predict before I even brought it, I can't play it.

What I found funny though is, that unlike Bastion (which outright told me that I could not play it when I try) it actually let me try to start playing the game. You know what I saw when it start up after a loading screen. Nothing but darkness, cross-hairs, and subtitles (It still plays the voices.). So apparent my computer can play Portal 2 just without the graphics and images necessary to solve the puzzles in the game. Nah, that's not important, right? I'll just use my mental powers to solve the puzzles. XD

So yeah, I going to need to get a new graphics card, if I want to play either of those games. And well, I doubt I will be getting one anytime soon unfortunately. But I do have five other games on Steam that I could be playing and they work, so it is not that bad. Still its moments like this that remind me why I do not play PC games much. And why is that, you might ask?

Well, it is a couple of reasons. The first reason being that if you want to play a game, especially a recent game, on the PC, you will basically have to rebuild your computer to get the best gameplay out of it. The cost alone in that and the fact that involves me having to deal with stuff that I am completely unfamiliar with is what turns me off the most about that. As for my second reason, I hate using a keyboard as a controller. I personally feel completely uncomfortable use it as a controller.

And in particularly, it is why I tend to favor playing console's games more because a ) you know the game is going to work on your system beforehand and b ) you get a controller that you can manipulate in your hand and you don't have a bunch of buttons everywhere on it (some of which might not do anything because nothing bound to that key).

But yeah, I tend to be turn off by those kind of things when it comes to PC games. And well, that's all I have to say today for this entry. Thanks for taking the time to read and I guess I'll see you all later. By the way, the next entry might be LEGO related since I think I am writing about Steam too much on here.

My Computer Hates Me...

Bastion
Yeah, it really does...

Yup, I can't play Bastion. Not that, I am really surprised to be honest since I know my computer is by no means fit to play a lot of today's video games on the PC. :( Oh, well, I got plenty of other games to keep me entertain until I can go out and get a new video card for my computer.
