Zomg Cat-beast, 9

I really want a pic of the cat beast from the first 10 minutes of the movie (not elsewhere), since it was so detailed and awesome, for my computer wallpaper...but no luck so far. (Yeah I was super excited when I saw that.)   Overall, the movie rocked. Action, characters, settings, plotness, awesome CGI and visual effects, and the different...things (various beasts).   But I also could not get enough, for 80 minutes really isn't that much, especially for the teenage/adult target audience. You Want To Trade?

My dad told me that he was enjoying driving the "breaking down" Cavalier (and I know that is spelled incorrectly because it has the red underline but now right click is not helping with spelling. Actually, all of Firefox's preferences aren't showing up. Grr. Anyway, the "Cavalier" or whatever...) that's something around 14 years old and has had its share of problems so much so that I'd want to take it to school but I doubt it would survive the 3 hour drive down, enjoying it over his 2 year ol

You Named Your Cat Gideon?

I just got back from the theater after watching Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. I knew nothing about this until the trailer popped up online. When I got home from school I borrowed the first 5 graphic novels from my library and diligently awaited #6 to come out so I could buy it. (Which, btw, you can buy from me for cheap. PM me until Sunday night.) I can not say I was the biggest fan of the writing, but the story itself was fun. So I could not wait for the movie.   I did not have the bigges

You Guys Rule

It's true. Front page news says so! [insert Omi's You guys rule pic here.]   -CF   Quote of the Day: “Fine, I’ll take a [cafeteria] tray.” “This one is wet. And this one is wet. And this one is wet.... “What did you do, dry these in a rain forest?” -Eddie Izzard

You Are The Resistance

I saw Terminator Salvation today. Very awesome. Very good movie. Might be the best action movie of the summer, IMO. Plenty of stuff going on, but, unlike Transformers, there was plot and coolness all rolled into one (without whiney LeBouf) and not explosions every second (which I'm not saying is a bad thing...). (Though Star Trek might be the best action movie of the summer. Hmm...)   Bale was great. Worthington was too. Actually, all the actors did a very good job. The movie was just

You All Failed The Test, Or Did You?

So I can't tell if you failed or passed. Maybe, simply, nobody passed or failed and this was one of those tests that looks for info...yeah, that sounds right.   Well, for the past month, I had all 26 letters of the alphabet in my sig, all ready to be linked as if it was a PBZP. I really wanted to see how many people PMed me thinking it was PBZP, and I got 0 PMs about it.   This isn't a bad thing. I'm just seeing how many people really want to be PBZPized. (And if I actually want volunteers

Yay! A W I P!

I got the idea for the claw a while ago, and tonight decided to build the other claw. Then I felt like defining how I wanted the rest of the arm, and felt I might as well put a Metru waist in there to join the two arms. That said, I already had a bunch of silver weapons scattered (in hopes of using something else instead of aero slicers for pincers...but alas no luck) and looked into legs. I'd say those turned out pretty nifty.   The pic is a little dark, but what can you expect at 10:49 at

Y2 K+ 8

Gotta love those Sweet Tart candy canes! ^me^   My New Year Celebrations: Every year my two friends and I get together to sleep over--maybe--and stay up late watching movies and playing with Lego. (Yes, we all like Lego. It's so cool. That's probably why they're my best friends even though one hasn't gone to school with me for four years)   So this year we'll be at Jamie's house. We'll get to his house tonight, exchange our Christmas gifts (as a rule we get each other Lego), build the

XĶĈĐ And Brickfair

XCCJ had this great idea of building some xkcd vignettes for BrickFair. He built two, and I built two.   As we are cleaning up BrickFair Sunday afternoon, Nukaya comes over to me and says that a few pieces of my xkcd vignettes are missing.   D:   So I walk over with her and there is xccj as well, and I look at my vignettes and there is nothing wrong with them. I look a little closer and there is a piece of paper sitting next to them.     (Then they were like j/k.)   What awesome recogni

Wouldn't You Know...

Well, I'm doing really well in the polls. 1 vote! Yay! I'm up against a nice looking dragon. Sadly the Poll or his entry pic don't say what he does. I'm guessing flap his wings, so I think my pincers can just snap them off of him and that will be the end of that.   vote for entry one here! please       oh, well, I can handle it, being 16 and all, I understand it. But I finally enter something good in my 2nd BBC and I don't even get too high.   Well, look at it this way. There is still

Worst Wip Pic Ever

I mean, usually I just apologize for not enough light or the wrong angle, but this time I have no idea what was going wrong. (Aside from being in my room and not using sunlight and instead a flash, but usually it still turns out good enough for a WIP pic.) I can probably take a better pic at school, if you like.   Anyway:   So far so good. I still need to work on the torso (too long?) and maybe try to make some custom, longer lower legs, but for now it'll look cool on my shelf at school a

Worst 5 Hours Of My Life

Well, only about 2 and then I went to bed.     I was like, "The internet's down...again."   And then I had to focus on my homework.   I find it funny how they tell us 25 other customers also lost internet, as if it makes us feel better other people shared our pain.   -CF   Hey look a theory!

Work Camp 2008

Iiiiiiii'mmm baaaaack!!!!   Work Camp (see entry below) was great! It was spiritual, enlightening, energetic, creative, studly (inside joke), rockin', comedic, tiring, etc, etc, more than just (and not limited to or focused on) "fun" and "working."   In brief, the Catholic (can I say that word? ) Diocese of Arlington holds a WorkCamp each year to gather teens from around the Diocese (can I even mention that?) to go and do service to help the community, mostly by fixing up the homes that real

Wolverine: X-men Origins

Talk about Deadpool here all you like. Talk about what I care about here. Saw it at midnight last night!!! (Would have told you yesterday before I left but I had more important things to blog about.)   It was awesome!!! Wolverine was great, as expected. Gambit was as awesome as ever. I really liked Deadpool at the beginning too (I've never really known who he is). Lots of other cool bits as well.   They did a really good job at developing Wolverine's character, making it a real origin s

Wolverine And The X-Men

Current wallpaper:   I am loving the x-gene out of this new series. That, and the rebooted Uncanny X-Men, especially how they exist together (if need be. Things are barely mentioned, but I figure that sooner or later the Schism (which I still need to read) will become a forgive and forget, at least for a major team-up situation).   And along with new issues of Wolverine and the X-Men (Alpha and Omega) and Uncanny X-Men, comic book Wednesday treated me to Star Munchkin. It looks awesome, and I c

Wizards In Winter

I forgot to blog about it last year, and would kick myself if I forgot this year.   What I just have to say is that the Trans-Siberian Orchestra has some of the best Christmas Music out there. Everybody knows their Carol of the Bells rendition, but I also love a lot of other pieces from their CD The Lost Christmas Eve.   Other favorites include: Wizards in Winter Siberian Sleigh Ride Wish Lizts (Toyshop Madness) What is Christmas? Without Restraints

I MOCed and Eva Unit! From the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion Haven't seen the anime/manga? I'm posting reference pix below   The MOC Ok, so that's obviously not complete. I'm not ready to show it all off yet. If you have seen the anime/manga, then you know that Unit 01 broke free from it's armor, it's "restraints" So I was about to show it without any armor, "unrestrained," but it looked horrible. So I added some armor to tease you all. The other armor   If you haven't seen Eva, then
