So I Gave My Buzz-saw Ussal Some Bubblegum

And now he's slacking on the job! [flash=350,300]http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/sprxtrerme/BIONICLE-Art/ussal.swf So I'm giving this Ussal away. He's free to any good sig-home: [flash=350,300]http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/sprxtrerme/BIONICLE-Art/ussal.swf[/flash] I would have this Ussal in my sig but I have the Mata instead, discussing before they enter Kini-Nui. Kopaka not moving is yet another thing I love about the MNOLG. (MNOLG and Ussal appreciation entry. )

Blog Back And Stuff

It's nice to use this blog again. It's been a while since I've used it, and I should probably re-premier if I wasn't so strapped for cash at the moment. Congrats BZP on lasting 9 years, and thanks for letting me use my blog for the week!   I haven't been doing too much in the Bionicle world because I've been busy arranging other LEGO things and very busy with life. I'd like to do something else for Brickfair next month (other than the MOC I sent), in the form of art/animation that could be dow

Iron Man 2

Good stuff, I finally got to see it.   For those of you who are going to see it, be sure to wait until after the credits for a Marvel-movie-related teaser! B)   In other news, thank you to everyone for your support in the BBCC! Especially the other contestants like the ROUS and Rubik's Cube.

Disappointment

Stares at newly acquired Dino 2010 sets...   Gazes outside...   Activates light-up eyes and mouth of T-rex...   Double-checks outside...   *sigh*

I'll wait for tomorrow before I start seriously considering anything...   If the theme hasn't changed by then I'm sooo entering.

Is Makuta....

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «Dead?  Sure, a burning moon tore a hole through the entire brain complex he was residing in. It's not like he was just crushed or squashed out of his armour, he was incinerated.   But then again, we'll eventually find out that he abandoned the MU when all of his Rahkshi were killed, so his daze/failure-to-see-large-incoming-objects was not because of the emotional pain of Tahu slaughtering all his children (like any good Toa would), but because

Tahu Mata Star

Golden Armour mode   Not really a proper MOC, simply my interpretation of a more canon looking Tahu as he is in 2010.   After I set up a backdrop to photograph my 57 entry, I used it to photograph this and some other stuff, so I'll be on a mini-MOC-posting spree for this week.

Collection Of Thoughts

My BBCC entry is half-done - I've done one figure, now I need to do the other one (the bigger one).   I'm afraid that my voting in the contest is going to be heavily biased, because I only know movie-sci-fi, and have never played games along the lines of Halo, Mass Effect, etc. (Please don't shun me )   In my life, I've finally relocated my computer, camera and LEGO collection to the same room, so hopefully I'll be able to post amusing Bionicle-related pictures in the blog soon.   Hero F

Bbcc Progress

Theme chosen, and it's not original but hey.   So far I've built one head, and I'm already over 100 pieces. Yeesh, this is going to intricate.   If I have enough time, hopefully I'll be able to incorporate a base for the entry which will have a mini-mosaic title in it. I've been looking into mosaics for the past few months, for experimentation's sake, hopefully I'll make an article out of it. B)

Obligatory Bbcc57 Entry

I just need to find out a few more answers to questions, then I'll get started.   Not sure what to make though, because every well-made MOC in this contest will be incredibly awesome given the theme, so it might help to choose a subject that's awesome to the greatest number of people. But then again, being awesome to too many people may end up as too generic, and half the other entries will be about the same thing (ie Star Wars/Halo).   The one thing I'm going to rely on is that a big MOC will

Alternate Teridax

Which do you think suits more for him - New Gold, Old Gold or Trans-Gold? As a pleasant surprise to me, there was an Old Gold Kraahkan in a Bionicle package for me today, so I now have a choice between the two.   IMO, New Gold has a far better selection of parts, but Old Gold has good Kanohi, better contrast to white and makes a better tribute to the original Makuta. (Trans-Gold is right out.)   Also, I was looking at pictures of real war-hammers, and they all seem really undersized for a Maku

Headphone Glitch

I've had a lot of headphones for my computer, which I've replaced when they stop working (usually from running the cable over with my chair...), but my current pair of headphones have just developed the most unusual problem this evening.   It's a physical problem which I can fix somehow by fiddling with the volume control on my headphones, but it causes half of the audio I'm listening to to stop playing. It's not a left or right speaker thing, it seems to be the top layer of audio, which is the

New Year Thoughts...

Finally it's a new year, and this is the third decade I've existed in. (Makes you sound old right?)   I didn't blog it earlier, but I got Toa Mata Nui for Christmas, and I don't think it's a terribly bad set. Somehow looking past the colour-scheme and the back, the building experience is solid, and while the design is based on Takanuva's build, there are many improvements and added detail to it (he's also a head higher), and the thornax-shield is great. The price could've been $10 less, but

Avatar

It's pretty amazing, although I don't think it's as completely revolutionary as what other people around me say. The effects and designs are amazing, and the story is good too, although not that original IMO. The only things that bugged me were the incredible wireless reception for the avatars and multiple instances from where an air-strike from space would've made the human's objectives much much easier.   If you haven't seen it, you definitely should, in 3D if your cinema supports that.
