Hey guys, give me some suggestions for the art/mosaic/sculpture award categories for Bricks Cascade. I'm coordinating that theme, but based on info I've been given/my experience coordinating the Other category at BrickFair, it's going to be art-like things such as mosaics and sculptures, but there will also be a bunch of other random stuff that doesn't really fit anywhere else. Like tapeworms. Right now categories I have as ideas are: -best mosaic (will be a category for sure) -best sculpture
The other three images from the food project. Deep-frying Oreos didn't go well, because they ended up looking like charcoal pieces and now the kitchen smells really bad. It did work for this though, since I needed to create a visually appealing but unappetizing image. Part 1 is here.
Two of four images for a food project for studio photography. I started out initially with my theme being different black and white foods, but it became focused on Oreos as well. The first image is my close up, and the second is a mid shot. I need sentences for my drawing final. I'll take a few of them that I like, and create them into finalized drawings. Guidelines: -Make up sentences. The track team is having a Thanksgiving dinner tonight, so I decided to make a dessert. Except they had cranberries at Grocery Outlet for really cheap, so I was like "Oh man I bet I can totally make awesome homemade cranberry sauce and it will be awesome so let's just ignore that I've never made it before". Zach went four for four in his medals! He just had the craziest kick in the last 50m of the 400m and snagged the bronze!! I am so excited to eventually see him competing as an Paralympian.
My friend Zach raced in the 800m and the 100m wheelchair races (T53 category) and placed second and third respectively, and he just qualified for the finals of the 200 this afternoon, and is ranked third going into the finals! It is really cool and super exciting, because he's also ranked fourth in the world for the 100, which means that he has a pretty legitimate chance at making it to the London Paralympics next year, something that would be just awesome, because he's has worked his butt off
I'm not sure why there were a bunch (seemingly random staff) blogs that were pinned. I fixed it though. I don't know if it was a glitch or something else or what, but the problem is currently solved!
The last four years of college have led to me making some pretty ridiculous/awesome Halloween costumes, so I decided to make an entry that lumped all of them together with what I did this year. 2008: Sarah Palin! 2009: Newspaper dress! This dress successfully won me a mountain bike in a costume contest. Getting skin to look a proper light grey is difficult. Especially when in a few days, it's going to be from my knees down and then my face/neck, and a good part of my arms/shoulders. I don't know if I can go with a spot on Audrey Hepburn either. Three of my favourite photos I took during last weekend's football game at my college. Expect a lot more of this. I was hired at the end of September as the athletic department's main photographer for home games and whatever other assignments they throw at me. I went grocery shopping today. Partially because I am hungry and partially because this is the only time during the weekdays that I can go.
