Zoidberg And Waffles

The meeting of the San Francisco Keira Knightley Appreciation Society will now come to order.   Also, my clone showed me a bit of Breaking Dawn yesterday. It's hilarious how bad it is. And yes, we met up at the library yesterday. I'd say more, but I don't want to blow Jason's cover.   And then I went to McDonald's, where the girl at the windows flirted with me outrageously. 'twas rather fun. :3   I may or may not enter BBCC55. I still haven't finished my new entry.   College next week is DO

You've Got A Friend In Me

Well, today was certainly emotionally stimulating, at the risk of sounding like a Vulcan who doesn't permit himself to experience emotions. I do, it's just that today was much more of a roller coaster than usual. I shan't get into all the details, but if you could spare some prayers for a local family whose 12-year-old son was killed by a car yesterday that would be great.   Skipping over most of those details (I did see a whole roast pig for the first time in my life (Filipinos really know ho

You May Recall

Countless aeons ago, I took to flipping my blog entries and whatnot through internet translators from English back to English by way of five or so other languages. Well, now I've found a utility to do that for me automatically, and put my blog name and subtitle through to rather amusing results. And then I did it with this entry: Innumerevoli? O.o

You Know What?

I wish books had a Ctrl+F feature. Especially with only half of my paper on Robert Frost finished. It's due tomorrow, but college was canceled today because of snow, so I hold out hope that Friday will be similar. Yes, nine inches of snow.   ...This entry seems rather disjointed. Alas, I must save my streamlining skills for the essay. Oh yes.

You Just Keep On Trying Till You Run Out Of Cake

The following is an almost entirely unedited block of text dating from August 14th, 2008. An attempt has been made to separate the various and diverse topics contained therein into their own paragraphs, but owing to the rambling nature of such, it has failed. So don’t blink, you might miss something. Finally, before you tl;dr, here’s the topic for Shubiduwahp, the most hip and awesome guy in the OoMN.     So I got this sudden and inexplicable urge to write/type something. The only reason I can

Yayness And Stuff.

I have now set foot on the same ship as Johnny Depp, Patrick Stewart, and bunches of other cool people. My life is now approximately 19% (Actually, disregard that, it detracts from the blatant exaggeration.) complete. I also had a very nice lunch.   Arpy

Yay, No More Bionicle!

Given that my continued survival demands a rare mineral found only in trace amounts in the tears caused by human suffering (Ethereal cookies to anyone who gets the reference), I am quite pleased to have read that Bionicle is ending, and I thank the fifteen people in the talkback who have thus far cried as a result of that.                         ;.;                     There are also at least seven people who seem to have used Darth Vader's NOOOOOOO! from Episode III to express their own f

Writer's Block

I'm thinking about writing my cause-and-effect essay on the causes and effects of my complete inability to settle on a single topic. For you see, though I was advised to select something that gets me angry or excited, there are a great many things that arouse my ire, such as moral relativism, Megabloks, and little sisters. I want to write about all of them at once, so yeah, I'm having some difficulty here.   ...   You see what public schooling has done to me? I have been reduced to making trit

Words That Are Full Of Win And Awesome

Summer is here! Needless to say, I'm basking in the wonderful lazy feeling that comes from the realization that I don't really have to learn anything for the next two months, unless of course I want to. Since I don't feel like posting a "life" entry (due at least in part to said laziness), I shall instead post this list of awesome words that I have compiled: Foibles Squoze Fray Frangible Purulent Indubitably Kumquat Albeit Uxorial Belgium Iniquities Serf Ablutions Temerarious Abut Besmirch Pic

Winners Are They!

First off, kindly consider voting for me if you have not done so. If in fact you voted for someone else, put on some sackcloth and ashes.   So, quite a good contest this time around. Not a whole lot of entries, but not so few that there was no question as to who would be declared the winner. There were six entries, and…divide by two…no, three…   Anyway, I decided to instead follow my standard approach to these sort of things, which is to pit Roomba and Lluvio’s entries against each other in

Winception

I'm in a hotel room in Atchison, adamantly insisting on sticking to Pacific Standard Time even though it's past one over here. The Mountain Dew Slurpee I had recently is probably helping me in this regard. Fairly vague spoilers ahead?   As one of my last acts before leaving home, I went to see Inception, mainly on Ben's insistence, but I'm glad I went. It probably lived up to its hype better than Avatar, although I did feel that the dreams were for the most part entirely too lucid and structure

What I Did On My Thanksgiving Break:

Set off the opening of the CSI: Miami theme at the end of theology class to commemorate the official beginning of break. Observed no amusement.   Hoped and prayed that my roommate would remember to lock the door before leaving.   Got into a pickup truck with three other people headed north.   Saw an Amish type with horses and a buggy somewhere in Iowa.   Read a bit of Fires of the Earth, by Jon Steingrimsson, until it got too dark. Tried to get some sleep.   Got distracted by trading texts

Well, Sisen...

I had every intention of photographing your Rahkshi today, but circumstances conspired against me in a most conspiratorial fashion. To wit: I spent much of the morning trying to get some good honest work done on scholarship applications, with the afternoon devoted to (among other things) folding laundry, looking at Sandman fanart and photographing Rahkshi, but then my mom gets this call saying she was supposed to help at the homeschool band's nursery today, but she forgot and now she has somebod

Well-photographed Krika Review

Hello, manchildren (and my female readership, which is probably, like, two people a month plus Krahka). As this entry’s title so poetically states, this is indeed a review of Krika with good photos. BUT WITTY! At least, I certainly think so. But then, I think rain is wet, so who am I to judge?   The can is unremarkable for the most part, except of course for the fact that THE ZARKING LID IS ASYMMETRICAL!!!!!!!!!111 Blahblahblahdamagedignikastorylineblahblah, but it pretty well ruins the ide

Weird Names, Part 2

Okay, multiple-choice quiz this time.   "Cravixtha" is:   {A} The name of one of Jinzo's Bionicle MOCs   {B} A Greek word meaning "to refute" or "to rebut"   {C} a name I made up after two cans of Mountain Dew and too much free Lego time   {D} apparently the name of the daughter of some people who went to the same university as my parents   Arpy

We're Pregnant!

Yes, that's technically incorrect, as it's really only my girlfriend who's pregnant, but I am most certainly the father, so the kid'll have 1/2 my genes, anyway. We just found out Sunday, and then, most unfortunately, my parents also found out, so now I'm typing this from a library computer while Paige is trying to apply for passports to Canada, or else Alaska. As you can imagine, they're not too pleased. I wouldn't have wanted it this way either since we're not yet married, but our love is stro

We're An Anarcho-Syndicalist Commune!

Hello, fine people! It's been a while since I've rambled to this little corner of the internet, eh? This semester has been...interesting, to say the least. Here are some of the parts of it that have actually been quite pleasant and informative. I: Got to go home for spring break, which was especially nice given that we determined that I’m staying at college over the summer except of course for my trip to Puerto Rico. Met with some librarians over said break and got some great pointers and advi

We Will Never Forget

Unless of course we happen to be the local newspaper, because guess what the front pages of two sections, a special section by itself, and a couple more articles were devoted to? Not commemorating 9/11, that's for sure. No, no, apparently Forks and Port Angeles are celebrating Stephenie Meyer Day in conjunction with her Mary Sue's Bella's birthday! This would of course be bad enough by itself, but combined with the paper's almost complete lack of observance of the 9/11 anniversary, I got righteo
