2007 Lego Is Awesome.

Even though I haven't seen most of the 2007 Bionicle sets, if they're as cool as the Exo-Force and Aquaraiders sets are, TLC will be getting a fair chunk of my income next year.   Arpy

"i'll Bite Your Legs Off!"

I have spent a somewhat productive night organizing a ~12-hour movie marathon with some friends of mine. Location has been decided upon, but so far the only movies everyone agrees on (or at least will tolerate) are Muppet Treasure Island and Monty Python and the Holy Grail.   Arpy

Ghostly Turtles With Slimy Teeth Are Attacking!

No, the title has nothing to do with this post. I was just being, how-you-say, random?   Anyway, the LGD polls are up, and although I'm in third place, it's only by ten votes as I write this, so there's still hope for my little base. If people voted based on whether the bases had living quarters and a flushing lever for the toilet, my MOC would easily win, but sadly we do not live in such enlightened times. Now, go and vote in the polls!   Arpy

Computer Class Is Fun.

Two days into the program and we're already dis- and re- assembling old, nonfunctional computers. I'm also not the only homeschooler in the class (for once).   Arpy

Not Not Back To School For Another Week..

And since four-fifths of my siblings are gone camping with my Dad and our dog, Lego productivity is up, annoyance levels are down, and I'm feeling pretty relaxed right now. Oh, and I'm starting a computer class tomorrow. Still not quite clear on what I'll be doing, but I get really good certification which should help me get into college someday.   Arpy

Code Red! Code Red! Code Red!

Violation alert!   After posting my entry a few minutes ago, I noticed that someone edited one of my content blocks.   It definitely wasn't me, but I think I know who it is, and I shall deal with him in the appropriate fashion. Note to self, as well as anyone happening to read this: Never log into BZP at a friend's house again.   Arpy   Original Date: 9.2.06

Must.. Update.. Blog..

I'm working on a Lego mosaic right now. Well, not as I'm typing this, but you know what I mean. I won't say what the subject is, but I think I can safely say, without fear of legal action or death by chipmunk-manned nuclear submarines, that this mosaic of mine is being done in black, greys, and white, and on a 48 x 48 baseplate.   Arpy

Lgd Contest Entry Progress

My entry, Sea Station N.A.M.O.R. is 95% done. I only need to add a door, a couple tiles on the roof, and two-to-four shock-absorbent pilings to protect the station from undersea earthquakes, then I'll be done. Speaking of BrickFest, which I wasn't, does anyone who might be reading this blog have a link to pictures of the Bionicle table? I can't seem to find any on Brickshelf.   Thanks,   Arpy

Killing Fikou Is Fun!

*ducks as angry "Save the Fikou" mob members riddle his blog with shells*   I downloaded the Bionicle Heroes Demo last night, and finished it pretty quickly. Running around making all the flowers grow and then exploding them slows down the game action a little, so next time I play (right after I finish with this entry), I think I'll just get it done as fast as possible.   No, wait... Okay, I need to finish this planet profile-thingy, then I'll play Bionicle Heroes...   Arpy

Furry Lego Tribbles Of Doom!

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=112529   So anyway, I went to a cousin's wedding last weekend. It was in Leavenworth, Washington, a town which is, IMO, quaint, rustic, and all the other adjectives that are generally used to describe towns of this type.   Leavenworth has a strong German-heritage deal going on, doe to the fact that it transformed itself into a mock Bavarian village in the late 1960's to revitalize its economy. What this means is, every business on the main stre

Gone.. All Gone.

Well, our computer's hard drive is gone. I don't know how or why it happened, but it really stinks, mainly because eight months' worth of family photos are irrevocably lost. I also lost all of my links and game progress, but those can be retrieved eventually, AKA whenever Dell sends their tech out with a replacement hard drive. When I get back from our weekend trip it should be here, so I can upload pics of my flight, as well as the county fair.   Arpy

Magneto Lives!

Well, the preliminary voting is over, and (unsuprisingly) I didn't make it to the semifinals. however, I did (suprisingly) do quite well, placing third, and I got the most votes I've ever gotten in a BBC contest, so in short, everything is extremely froody. However, looking at the semifinal polls, I notice that the phrase, "Vote for the MOC that YOU feel best captures the theme of the contest" was missing. I think it would be a helpful little reminder to have that displayed, especially in this p

I'm Back!

And I'm too tired to give a full account of my camp experiences, so I'll just post a short list of words and phrases I never want to hear again: "Mafia" "Heads down!" "Joe's old" "Synergy" "Narcissistic pumas" I'll give a more detailed report on my trip (and possibly an explanation of the list) later, possibly tomorrow. Also, I finished 90% of my BBC #38 entry right before I left for camp, so I just need to tweak a few things and I should have it up on Wednesday.  Arpy

Bbc Entry Quasi-update-slash-rant-thingy.

My BBC #38 entry is coming along well, considering the limited amount of building time I've had so far. I've built most of the front, and I'm now tinkering with the main mechanism. However, I'll be away at yet another summer camp next week, so I'll have a grand total of 5 days to finish and photograph it. :annoyed2:   I'm also considering whether I should include a light-up feature, it'll make the MOC look cooler, but it won't count as a function and it might take up valuable space. I need mo

I Am Tired.

I got back from my camping trip, and I'm pretty tired (as evidenced by my post's title) so I'll just give a list of the good and bad things about the trip instead of going into detail about each item:   Good Things: Swimming Kayaking Wakeboarding Seeing relatives Squirting relatives with water guns Dumping bucket of water on cousin's head Running like heck away from same cousin Hot dogs Soda pop Food in general. Bad Things: Insects Heat Sunburn Long car rides with all 5 siblings Als

Happy Fifth Anniversary, Bzp!

Yay for late-night blogging!   First off, let me wish a supercalifragilisticexpialidociiusly wonderful anniversary to BZP, and all the members, especially the staff and admins. Although I have never become what you might call well-known, I've had a fine time here over the last four-and-a-half-years-and-eleven-days, and it wouldn't be possible without all of y'all.   Now, I have a few things that may or may not be of interest to you:   I am going on my family's annual camping trip from Thursd

First Post!

Now, for the third time in my "life" on BZP, I am a Premier Member! I became one partially because of BZP's upcoming 5th anniversary, but mostly because I wanted a blog.   I thought I'd start this off with a list of considered (and rejected) names for my blog: My Life as a Teenage Human Arpyesque It's... The Blog of Champions Captain's Blog: Stardate (random number goes here) The rest were probably too nonsensical and/or gross. If you think I should actually use one of the names above, feel f
