Tea Time

YES. IT IS TEA TIME.   Apparently no one in my linguistics class has ever played Mad Libs, since we keep spending way too much time on parts of speech. Also, people in my linguistics class are lame, because they keep on trying to correct the professor on things that actually make sense because stupid prescriptive grammar we already went over how lame it is and why good linguists mock it. (Because it's lame.)   So why hasn't anyone told me about Chiara? And why do I keep getting into things that

Hooooo Boy.

Wow, I haven't been on BZP in ages. As in, I hadn't been on BZP for ages before the downtime. Then like, a couple months into it I got back into Bionicle and was like "Hey, whatever happened to the ol' haunting grounds?" And there I had it.   What've I been doing? Uhhh, Fallout? And Dragon Age? I guess the Dragon Age thing was while the forums were out, was it? I don't even know. I wasn't paying attention very well. And ponies? Often both at the same time, whether you like it or not? And trying

The Future

It's where you and I will be spending the rest of our lives. And future events such as these will affect you in the future!         AND YEAH     Whoaaaaaa   I'm out of PMship.   I don't know if I have the money to get it back at the moment, since I'm rather tight on the cash.   Um. Yeah. Bye blog until I do get money. Byeeeeee.

So Yeah. I'mma Kill Some More Trees In The Name Of Papercraft It Seems.

So LEGO papercraft comes out about the same time that I get hardcore into, well, papercraft. And just as Bionicle starts ending. Well, um, it looks like I'll be building useless things to clutter my room with more dead trees than petroleum now. But quite possibly with slightly more petroleum than anticipated!   Though admittedly, since much of the appeal of papercraft comes from the fact that it's pretty much free (with the cost of ink and paper, which I'll pay for anyway . . . in large amounts

Thankful Claus Is Coming To Town!

Let me tell you about a tradition that my family's had for about the last 6 hours or so.   Every Thanksgiving, Thankful Claus comes to everyone's houses in the middle of the night and gives them what they already have. Not only that, but sometimes, if little boys and girls aren't thankful enough for their toys, he'll take them away, and give them to Santa Claus to give to a little boy or girl who'll be more grateful for it than you were you little brat! If you're lucky, Santa'll give it back t

All Good Things Must Come To An End; The Bad Ones Just Go On Forever . . .

Of course, all you BZPers are well aware of this recent news, and if not, will be for the next hundred million years probably.   It's kinda odd. I mean, we still haven't gotten any news of a new Elder Scrolls game but considering how disappointing Oblivion was it'll probably break my heart and considering how terrible the Elder Scrolls novels are looking, they'll definitely break my heart, the KotOR comics are ending, The Old Republic's probably gonna be awful and I probably won't have time to

Guess What I Got!

If you guessed "THE DEATH PLAGUE" then you are not all that far off!       And um, have a silly picture of Batman before I go back to bed for a couple more million years.     WHY SO SERIOUS?

Whoaaaaa

So yeah, I kinda got out of the habit of visiting BZPower during the downtime and now that it's back, I um, I kinda don't remember what I used to do here. Pfffft.   Hopefully I'll remember soon.     In the mean time, I got to see Huun-Huur-Tu in concert last night. It was pretty mindblowing.       And why do they call them "suckers"? Wouldn't you the people who profit off the gullible people the suckers, since they like, suck the various profits away from them?     And ummmm. I kinda am g

Yo Yo What Up My Dawgs.

So yeah, I haven't said hello to you all since like, May. Yeah. Even before the whole downtime thing.   Um, let's just do that thing I do sometimes where I list off completely unrelated things.   1. While in the downtime, I got really into Hetalia (yeah, even more) and now Poland is like, totally my patron saint. Omigod. So's Finland. It's even more shameful than ever before. But it's always nice to expand out the whole "I ship everything" into even more of everything. It also makes current ev

Things That Need To Exist

1. STAR TREK LEGO. C'mon Lego. There's a big money making movie with lots of fun shiny ships and fun exciting sets that you needa cash in on here. You can't lose this license to Mega Bloks again people. THE PEOPLE DEMAND IT. (By which I mean me, but whatevah.) Oh, and a Lego: Star Trek game would be sweet too. Go through all the series? Hecks yeah!   2. SOMETHING THAT STOPS ME FROM BURNING MY HAND WITH SCALDING WATER. (Maybe common sense on my part? Naaaaaah.)   3. Oh, and while we're on the s

Star Traaaaaack!

AWWWWRIGHT STAR TREK! IT WAS AWESOME. TOTALLY WORTH IT.   It reminded me why I adore everyone in the Original Series to death. It got it. It got what makes the series awesome. That's the best way you please the fans and make new ones. By keeping your eye on why so many people like it. I really hope it makes like, a bazillion bucks so that we can get a TV series with the same actors, doing these same roles and being AWESOME. It also reminded me why Kirk is my favorite captain, keeping all the

Archaeology Whee Yay

So guess what I'm gonna be doing this summerrrrrrrr!   I'mma heading off to Central Illinois to PARTY IT UP with the Oneota and the Mississippians and it'll be aaawwesome. I'm so excited! Imma gonna be dusting pot sherds and taking OCD detailed notes of the color of soil and digging in perfect squares so that I can see the layerrrrrrsss and date things by them and it'll be awesome.   So that also means that from May 26th to July 3rd I'll be without long all that much internet access. BUT IT'S

An Awful Conclusion.

So yeah, I come to an awful awful conclusion.   Tuyet was right. Completely right and everything that she did and planned to do was justified.   And once Makuta is defeated, she's going to take power, Toa Empire style. And no one (except maybe the Dark Hunters, who she'll dispatch quickly, though even they can't deny that the Toa should've acted sooner to prevent the universe from being absolutely horrible for everyone ever) will even want to stop her because they realize this fact. And she'll

Bees. My God.

Ever had one of those days where you feel like you're stuck in a terrible comic and you utter things of ambiguous emotion?   Batman has.

I Am The Worst Of Nerds

My immediate association? Would've been the Spiderman theme song, if not for the fact that I'm fairly certain they take place in a different universe from the usual Marvel comics, making the connection moot.   I am the worst of nerds.   EDIT: I ASSOCIATED IT WHEN I REMEMBERED THAT I HAVE A JAZZ ALBUM CALLED REQUIEM FOR JACK KIRBY OH GOD WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME.

Assorted Thoughts

I don't get people who actually ship Anakin/Padmé at all, especially if they see it as remotely romantic, or similar to human interaction. Seriously. Were we watching the same film? Really, the only reason I accept that it ever happened was because Luke and Leia have to be born somehow, y'know.   I want to see a Tintin/Batman team-up fo' real. I want Tintin to end up in Gotham to investigate some whatever, end up solving crimes, uncovering some mass conspiracy and all the while being helped out

Strangest Thing Lost In The Time Warp.

Apparently, all but the past four years that anyone at all has ever been here, according to my spinny guy thing, which has returned to being a spinny Norik head, instead of the spinny Hahli head. So yeah.     Also: I am feeling quite ill, and it's annoying me, since I've got stuff to do. Also: I fail at life, but this is pretty much a given.     Ummm, here's a picture. Because I like pretty pictures and because if this hasn't been posted in some blog, I shall be sad. I probably got it from so

Hello Bzpower!

Here is what I did while we were apart!   1. Slept. 2. Played Fallout. All three of them. At once. Though I didn't complete the main quest of any of them. You already know how that goes because I told you a bunch of times already. 3. Ummmmm. Went back to school today. It was entirely uneventful, except that some guy who was singing outside told me that I had a nice smile.     EDIT!   Okay, let's talk about the TIME SLIP thing that just occurred. Namely, the obligatory   How much did I los

Give Me A Kiss To Build A Dream On . . .

Updates on the life front.   1. So Spring Break. Hurrah. A week in which people reveal their intimate character or something. I reveal myself as an incredibly boring person, because all I'm doing this week is staying at home and reading science fiction novels that people pretend are not science fiction novels, reading everything by Osamu Tezuka that I haven't read yet that I'm able to get my hands on, and playing Fallout. All three of the games. At once.   2. Fallout! So yeah, my sister's boyf

If All Stories Were Written Like Science Fiction Stories

This is utterly brilliant and even though it's a bit old, I thought it worthwhile to share it all with you over a network of computers, which allows instantaneous communication between users through its interface from all over the world.         If all stories were written like science fiction stories by Mark Rosenfelder   Roger and Ann needed to meet Sergey in San Francisco.   “Should we take a train, or a steamship, or a plane?” asked Ann.   “Trains are too slow, and the trip by steamship
