Seventeen years. I joined around 2004/2005, so I've been here at least thirteen years. I'm not really sure why I still visit. The forum is still full of wonderful people, of course, but Bionicle has finished (twice), most people have grown up and moved on from Lego altogether, others have taken to BZP's social media channels for discussion instead, and the daily activity has dropped massively since the forum's heyday. Perhaps I still visit because this place was a form of escape from the t
Once again, anniversary blogging privileges has brought me out of hiding. So, how is everyone? Would love to know if any of my old buds here are still around, or if anyone even remembers this blog in the first place. Happy birthday, BZP.
Just curious to see if any of my old chums are still lurking on BZPower. If you're on the list (and even if you're not), get in touch! Give me a shout! Tell me what you're up to! Mash the keyboard and post the resulting gobbledegook! I won't bug you afterwards, it'd just be nice to hear from you. Back when I was even more of a nerd than I am now, you folks helped me through some fairly sucky times, so I suppose i owe you some thanks. - Czar - Seran - Laka (I know you're alive, you can't hide
If you're reading this, then apparently I can. :S Anyhoo, can somebody maybe give me a hand with OpenMPT please? I want to record a sustained note into a pattern, but I don't know how. Holding down the key doesn't seem to work in patterns.
So I've been a bit addicted to Midnight City by M83 recently. I'd never heard of them before, but apparently they've done like six albums. Anyways, the sax outro on MC makes me smile, and got me thinking about other 80s-style electronic songs I like that use saxophone bits. But the only ones I can think of are Hearts on Fire by Cut Copy and Wonderful Life by Black (which actually is from the 80s). And I know there are more. So what say you BZPonies? Csn you think of any more?
- buy a lot less stuff and spend a lot less money - try to avoid buying stuff that has been made in some grubby miserable factory by oppressed workers who get paid tuppence a week - be more environmentally-conscious - donate to charities more - stop watching repeats of spongebob - learn how to play every sngle song on my ipod - get a nice professional job - finish wips and then get rid of all my lego (if you guys want any, sned me a pm) - produce something other than Mmocs (like an album or a sh
So I'm seeing a lot of people linking to Flickr. Is that allowed now? I thought the staff were against it because they had no control over the content of the comments there. EDIT: Apparently it is. Yay!
Yeah, already getting caught up in BZP again. It's just such a good procrastination aide. But I can't afford to procrastinate any more, peoples! Real life is finally starting to get awesome! I really don't want to go back to how I was a few years ago on this site. I might have a lookysee tomorrow if I can get my account deleted. I'll probably still be reachable on other sites though - y'know, just in case.
Did I imagine it or was it once possible to post a topic of all of your old creations as long as you included some new ones? I can't see any reference to it in the rules topic. Also I want a new contest liek nao. =3 Please?
Oh hey. I'm writing a blog entry for the first time in years. That's nice, I suppose. Anyway, there's been a lot of talk about ponies and bronies and whatnot. A lot of people love the show, a lot of people hate it simply because it's My Little Pony and THAT'S FOR LITTLE GIRLS YOU WEIRDOS. I've seen a few episodes of it, and it's pretty good. It hasn't 'grabbed' me yet like Foster's did, but it certainly seems more genuinely thought out and charming that, say, the Hero Factory cartoon. Anyway
I also got some old fuddy-duddy bands to go with the hip and happenin' kids of today.
First half was great. Second half was a little bit boring overall - but then I suspected that when I bought it, so I'm not too disappointed
Only about a third of the way through this so far, but I'm enjoying it a lot so far. Really makes you realise how much The Hoosiers borrowed from them.
I think as part of the anniversary week, all the cool people who have left BZP must be made to come back for the week. I miss those peoples.
And everyone has to change their screen name back to their most well-known name so everyone knows who everyone is - so many times I've assumed someone no longer comes here, only to find they've just changed their name to something really obscure.
And there should be a BBC contest with a theme everone likes and all the brilliant MOCers who don't build
