Hello all! Brickfair was fun, and I had a really good time for the most part. Now that the convention is over, my posse drove back to chicago, but we made a stop at the Ohio toy and plastic brick museum in Bellaire. They are hosting a public build at the end of the week, and I was asked if I could build a special model for the museum. My plane was due to leave today, but the curator of the museum was willing to pay for the cost to change my plane ticket. Soooo, I accepted.

I'm getting ready to go on my Brickfair Adventure!
I am about 90% packed, and am flying out tomorrow night! I even picked up some grippy foam for helping in the setup of large models on smooth tables. Things tend to slip, and the smoothness of the tables limits poseability. My mocs are built for outdoor use, and tend not to grip onto tables too well. The foam should help any models that need a little extra grip.

I am soooo busy getting my display ready for Brickfair. I have until sunday night to get everything done and packed up. I will have to get my entry done, as I will have minimal pieces in anchorage to use. All my mocs need teeny tweaks before I pack them up, and I am going to cram as many mocs as I can into these tubs. All the big ones for sure.... Some assembly required.......
I'm going to work in the violin shop for a week before the fest, so I will have some time to relax beforehand.

I know that many of you have been wondering why I haven't been online much over the past many months. Circumstances made it impossible for me to be online regularly in the past because I didn't have internet in my home. I had to travel to anchorage (130 miles away) to do any real work on BZP. I became rather disheartened, and had to make hiatus from this grand site. Well, the tides have shifted, and are flowing in my favor now.

Well, looks like I cannot attend brickworld this year, because my cousin is getting married, and I'd rather attend her wedding than a brick convention.
But, I may/will be sponsored to go to brickfair and do some demonstrations and seminars, as well as showing my Inhabitants of Kaiva-Nui display. So things are looking brighter every day, and I should be able to be fully back online again within a few months.

I have had a lot of things going on in my life that have caused undue stress upon me, and have made me unable to do my duty to BZPower recently. I was dealing with having a heater down in my house, so it has been really cold, and somewhat miserable in my home. $820 later, I got it fixed...... The woes of living expenses... Oi!

If anyone here lives in Alaska, I have a display of some of my mocs in Seward at the public library. I am displaying Boruka and Mirkatuva, Kokata and Mukaia, the Pit Scourge, Roa and Kohaku, the Toa of Kaiva-Nui, the Bionic Fridge, Vakatu, Paruvak, Morkron the Reikia of Fire, and some random matoran.

Day one (early setup) of Brickcon has passed, and I have already gotten to see some amazing creations! My favorite in particular is my table neighbors 3.5 foot taall mecha godzilla with drilling hands, light up eyes, and an opening mouth. It is so awesome, that there aren't enough words to explain it. I will post pics later. The moonbase setup is going to be really awesome, as the Eiffel moontower showed up, and Wayne brought a ship factory built in modular style. Again, pure awesome. The totem
The engine, transmission and transfer case are all out of the truck! YAY! I also removed the side and rear windows, because they are super expensive REAL tinted windows... not the stupid stick on tints. Now I just have to take the tinted windows out of the rear passenger doors, and that is more of a chore, being as you cant just cut them out with a knife like the back ones. The doors actually have to be disassembled to remove the glass. Once those are on my good truck, I will be blingen it pimpi
Its day one of the engine transplant for my 89 suburban. I have been working on disassembling my parts truck to get the engine ready for pulling. I have drained the antifreeze, and the A/C system, and am ready to remove the spark plug wires and distributor cap. It's raining a tiny tad outside, but it's not enough to really be a bother.
My friend is coming up in a bit to pull out the transmission and transfer case. Were then going to Eagle River to sell the transmission (from the parts truck)
I volunteered to insulate an area of my Moms roof that has no insulation, but the house is proving that I cannot do it as easily as I had planned. What I thought was an outside access door in the roof, proved to be nailed down rather firmly. No budging whatsoever. So, consequently, I have to go ito the roof through the coat closet. Now imagine a closet that is basically enough space for you and a friend to cram in there, with a shelf below the ceiling door that you are trying to get into. Now im

I have been picking up LOTS of last years sets for super bargains at my local Fred Meyers stores. Many sets are 75% off their retail prices, and its really a great time to stock up on those extra sets! I have 4 striking venom sets now, I got 2 for $18 each. I bought 8 Vezon and fenrakk sets for about $12 each, then a few more for about $1
