Oh boy, here we go. There are these creepy-looking images of Turaga Lhikan, a Piraka-like "thing," and a ...nother "thing." I hope with most sincerity that they are not real images. I mean, (and most people would agree with me), those sets look way too disappointing to be a product of Lego, don't they? If I wanted to make a set of Turaga Lhikan, I think I could do a little bit better. Confusing and frustrating. Just my reaction to the new news on BZP.
Turaga of Mata Nui
Shortly after the Great Cataclysm, the six Toa Metru – Vakama, Onewa, Matau, Nokama, Whenua, and Nuju – were charged with transporting the comatose Matoran of Metru Nui to a new home: the island of Mata Nui. After an incredible struggle against the Visorak hordes in Metru Nui, the Toa Metru were able to bring the Matoran to the surface of Mata Nui in six airships. With their destiny as Toa fulfilled, the only task that lay before the Toa Metru was awakening the Matoran,

I am having the most rugged time reading this book. It's brutal. One of the most boring books I've ever had to read. And I'm on page 91/356. And I have to finish it by tomorrow. At this point, I'm actually forming a deep, personal hate towards the author  .

My status today: sleep-deprived, behind in homework, dehydrated, exhausted. Not a good combination. It's just one of those days...

Today we got the first good look at Bionicle summer 2008 sets. The BZPower frontpage article of the day displays an abundance of photos from their visit to Toy Fair 2008.
Sadly, it seems that all the Mistika canister sets will be sold for $12.99 USD. Greg Farshtey's response to one BZPower member's inquiry about this was that a number of factors have contributed to the high price: the price of oil and therefore plastic has spiked, the price of steel to make new p
A specific group of Toa named the Toa Mata – Tahu, Toa of Fire; Pohatu, Toa of Stone; Onua, Toa of Earth; Lewa, Toa of Air; Kopaka, Toa of Ice; and Gali, Toa of Water – was simply known to the Matoran of Mata Nui as “the Toa.” Just like all Toa, they were gifted with amazing elemental powers and Great Kanohi masks. Their name referred to the Great Spirit Mata Nui, as it was their destiny alone to awaken him. Led by Toa Tahu, the Toa Mata were a part of the legend of Mata Nui, a legend that the T

Forgot yesterday's entry. Oops.
The past few days have been a good break from school, homework, travel. It's been really nice. I'm finally getting to relax.
Yesterday my dad came back from Target with Toa Hewkii. Of course, I've been bugging him about getting the Toa Inika from S@H (why would I use my own money? I'm horrible ). So he decided to give me a little "preview," I guess . I posted a gallery.

I had a day off from summer school today. I couldn't be a bum and sleep in because of a thunderstorm, though. Last day of tennis for me.
So, everyone has a blog now. Good for them. But we premier members are kind of drowning in this sea of fresh new blogs.

Just one more day, and summer school is done. That's awesome. I have to study for one more test tomorrow. The last test. Once I finish it, I'm officially free to go home and spend the next three-and-a-half weeks far away from schoolwork of any kind.
I see GregF has returned from his duties at Comic-Con and is back on BZP once again. The OGD has some fresh new posts.
BTW, what's red and smells like paint?
->Red paint. <-

I got Bionicle Legends #5 yesterday and read it. I was hoping it would top #4. It did.
Excellent for a BIONICLE book. You know that supposed opening scene where two Great Beings place the Ignika underneath Mount Valmai? The book couldn't have started in a better way. I loved how that introduced me as the reader into the present-day scene right where Bionicle Legends #4 left off. Right afterwards, the plot launched into the Piraka's and Toa Inika's journey to the C

Today was my second day of exams. Sorta.
We have an entrely different schedule from normal for exams days. Exams are split up into three days with three exam periods each -- that means I have only three (longer) classes in a day rather than the normal nine periods. For example, I had periods 1, 3, and 4 yesterday -- three of my hardest classes. Of course, if someone has a free period, lunch period, or class that doesn't have an exam, he or she doesn't have to att

School, tennis, sleep. For the last few weeks, those were the only three things I experienced in a day. No time for blogs or entering the two Brickmaster contests. My schedule was packed!
But in three weeks, it'll all be over. Now, everything is winding down. Drivers ed was finished long ago. The tennis season finally came to a close this week. I finished a video project. The Heroes season finale airs in three short days. And with nothing calling me away from the comput

When I sacked out at 5:30 PM yesterday, I wasn't counting on sleeping for the 14 hours I did. But for once, I got some respite, undisturbed, from the nightmarish workload of the senior year. The kind of routine I am forced to maintain is quite disgusting; homework drags well into the night, typically past 1:30 AM, and as a result I flop back asleep as soon as I am back home from school the next day. That nap usually lasts until 10:00 PM, although it varies, and I am f

I've noticed that this winter all of the chicks are wearing these really fancy, high-tech-looking boots of various brands. They all look like they must do something besides keep feet warm, and they seem to be a big hit. Now, I don't know if they know it, but I foresee that the next fashion trend will be...

Ike ruined the carpeting in my basement. We had been together for a long time, now it's time to say our good-byes. Rugs typically don't talk, so we were short.
I have a killer sore throat today, so school didn't seem appealing. I didn't go, just ate soup and crackers. In my house. Alone. I think I have strep throat. I certainly have something throat.
Looks like I'm giving you Farshtey Feed 2 tomorrow.

As I type, dozens and dozens of Quicktime movie files are being converted to iPod-acceptable .mpeg files through iTunes. For them, this is near the end of a long journey, a voyage from their original urls to my video iPod. The only problem is, however, that this near-final step will most likely take a few more hours to complete.
Ah, everyone loves the old quicktime movies that LEGO employs the European animation company Ghost A/S to produce every year. The movie

At last! The end! No more summer school ! And nobody will have to hear me complain and moan about the whole thing anymore, which has taken up like...what...80% of my entries in this blog so far? Seriously, take a look.

I was reading through my ancient PMs to GregF, and my face was figuratively turning red as I noticed how obviously I was searching for the clearest, most congenial way to say "Hello, Greg" and "Thank you, goodbye" and never quite finding it, sounding more like I was supplicant to him for his almighty knowledge. Alright... I'll give you an example:
Granted, it gets a lot better after that, and that's really tame compared to other PMs I've encountered in which th

Well, we officially have a new member of the family.
You mean I'm finally gonna have a baby brother?
No...nothing quite like that...and I already have a little brother, thank you.
It's this cat. Now named Shadow. I'm sure I mentioned it a few entries ago. We pretty much confirmed it's ownerless when we teamed up with a neighbor to find it's old address. At first we traced a phone number through whatever serial number Shadow had on her collar. That line was
