My Location

You may want to believe I am from the Pacific Northwest, but that would be false, I say. For I am not there. I am not on earth. I am elsewhere.   I used to be there. But I decided to leave a while back, 'cause I felt like it. Anyway, I heard that the Cassini Satellite was going to shoot past the Earth on its way to Saturn. So I went into space, and hitched a ride on it. Fortunately, the Vogons didn't blow up the earth, so I could continue to connect to BZP. Anyway, I was stationed on th

15 Year Anniversary

Yesterday blew past before I even realized that I had reached another BZPower Anniversary. 15 years this time (2003 - 2018). This will be the last year where I have NOT been on BZPower for more than half my life. (I mean, I suppose I could quit cold turkey next year, but that seems a bit extreme just to nullify a meaningless stat.)   Anyway, I now have Makuta's (Gen II) Mask of Control spinning underneath my name. Yayz?   Also, its fun to host a mafia game for once and see everybody's poor decis

A Bionicle Christmas

The season demands it. I must advertise this epic again. For every classic has to return year after year... now I just need to turn this epic into a classic...     Bio: Christmas Time has fallen on the Matoran of Mata-Nui, and for once the holiday can be celebrated in peace, as the Toa Nuva have defeated all foes. The Toa Santa arrives as legends said, and he planned to bring each Matoran a special present. However, his journey is cut short when an evil Rahi known as the Grinch shows up a

NANO Completed

I just completed my NANO Story from 2010.   So back in 2010, I participated in the National November Writing Month thingy whatever. The one where you write 50,000 words in 30 days. Huge time consumer, and didn't help that I was in over my head as far as school was concerned. But by the end of the month, I was just over the word count mark. But the problem was that my story was only partially over; I had set it up for the big climaxe, but didn't continue it.   And then the story got put on ho

Angry...

I'm ticked. I got my car rear-ended today. Sure, it was at a stop sign and it was at less than 10 MPH, but I'm still ticked, because the guy tailgated me all the way down the road, which was congested enough from school being let out. The damage is hardly there, but it's the thought that counts.   If I could, I would like all tailgaters to have to walk on their hands and knees everywhere and be banned from ever, EVER, using cars again.

Opening Night

Opening night of the play, for me. For my feelings right now, refer to this blog entry.   Obviously, this play production think isn't working for me.   Back to sleeping...

It's Not Much...

But it's all I've got. I really should start writing chapters for my other stories too, but I also have lots of homework. (Angry at former roommate, who said that his Economics class didn't have homework. Humph)

My Job

Mostly, I'm doing all the things I normally do at home. Mow, rake, shovel, clean. Some of it is tedious work. Some of it is just hard.   But I'm getting paid for it.

Freaking Out

I stabbed myself in the hand with my mechanical pencil today. It didn't hurt too much, but it drew blood, and this was in class.   So when class let out 5 minutes later, I walked back to my dorm to bandage it up. I had all the stuff I needed, but I still checked the store in our dorm to see if they had better bandages... they didn't.   It was only a small puncture, but I was mostly worried about infection, so I used hydrogen peroxide, then slapped some neosporn and a bandaid on it. It see

Movin' Out

Long day. Moved out of one dorm room today... lotas fun. [/sarcasm] Seriously, I need to remember to bring more bags or boxes for the little stuff. Anyway, since I'm taking summer classes, I'm having to move into another campus apartment for the summer. (Single rooms, kitchens, 5 guys on the floor instead of 300) Unfortunately... the guy who was currently in the room hadn't moved out yet... and he was scheduled to move out yesterday! :annoyed2:   So move in tomorrow, I suppose.

Lego Sales

I dunno why news hasn't reported this yet those reporters must be a buncha slackers.   Anyway, Lego is having some good deals on some sets right now, and I took advantage of it. I got three set: Magma Monster @ 75% off, Build-a-Zurg @ 75% off, and Pizza Planet Truck @ 50% off. I was hesitant to purchase these, but then I realized that I wouldn't find any better deals on them elsewhere. (Convention Lego store sales are now limited to 30% off). So I got them. Plus, I had some VIP points added

Crazy Ideas...

Spectral Man: a former friend of the protagonist who died but whose figure returns to give the protagonist advice, although only the protagonist can see hi,.   Spectral Man: You're following through with this plan! You're crazy!   Protagonist: And you're dead. You've got nothing to worry about.   Now I just have to write a story to go along with this scene.   I am also thinking about pursuing a writing career, if just from the side, even though I don't get a ton of reviews on BZP. (So I m

Wood Cuts

They have their ups and downs. They're a quick way to make alot of money, and they get you exersising. On the other hand, they take alot of time to complete, and the following day, you are very sore. I currently can't feel my wrists because they're numb with chopping wood with a sledge. Luckily, I don't have any essays to write... I just have to type them up. :annoyed2:

No Internet... Again

I'm moving on Tuesday and today I finally got around to calling about the Internet. (I was putting it off cause I always get put on hold. Last time I did it I was on the phone for over an hour going over details. This time, it only took 20 minutes... but still!)   Anyway, I'm currently in a lousy place where I can only get 6 MBPS (which they never really advertised to me... but I've only really recorded 2 MBPS so that estimate was off anyway.) And where I'm moving to can boost me all the way up

Crazy Sunday...

The Tom Petty concert was amazing! He played almost all my favorite songs of his, and the music was as good as if he had recorded it in a studio. Although I listened to most of it through earplugs... I was right next to the speakers. I have never exactly enjoyed reaslly loud conerts before, but if they always played my favorite music... I might change my mind.   Well, I got back home around 1 in the morning, work up at baout noon, and spent the rest of my day working on my Eagle Project.

Finished

So I've unofficially completed my Thirty Six Mask Project. I have built 6 Toa, 29 Rahi, and 14 Matoran (two who are riding Rahi and one who is in a Exo Suit). I have remade most of the original Rahi sets, as well as quite a few other popular creatures from 2001. I also have lots of customized creatures of my own design. (Seriously, towards the end I was starting to run out of ideas.)   The project isn't over. First of all, some of them desperately need to be redone. Part of the problem is

Completing Collections

Swert's post of his new, completed collection the other day has made me rethink my collection and look through it recently. Curse you, Swert, now I want to work on mine!!   I actually already have the original 72 masks, plus gold and silver, for a few years now. (I did a challenge where I built a model for every mask of the Toa's 36, which resulted in some cool Rahi and a lot of Meh Rahi.) One tempting idea is to go for the misprints... I currently have 5 of the 14, but gosh that's expensive. I

Makuta Quote

From Journey's End, Chapter 8.   » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «“I stopped caring about consequences long ago,” Makuta answered. “Those sorts of worries are for the weak, and I am strong, Mata Nui. By right of power, I claimed your universe – and now I claim this one, starting here and now!”  This has the same epic feel of some of Makuta's earlier quotes, from 01 and such. Maybe I also like it because it sounds like something I'd write.

Stuff To Bring To Brick Fair

Why make this blog entry? Well, I did the same thing for BrickCon, so I might as well.   I have a few days off before I start work, and although I don't know what my schedule will be like, I have a feeling there won't be much time for casual MOCing. (I do know that it won't conflict with BFair, tho, but beyond that I'm clueless) So I've gone on a mad building spree, and you can hardly see the floor of my room for the pieces. I would clean it up now (I've used most of my good bricks and idea

Piraka Animation #2

Even though the animation came out a few weeks ago, (I think) I just got around to taking some screen shots. Overall, the animation was quite interesting... got a little bit more action out of the Piraka, rather than just introducing them. I got about 50 shots for this section, which can be viewed at this majhost.com gallery. You will have to scroll down and go to the second page to see the second set, as that gallery also includes the first animation...   Anyway, some interesting shots.

Time Disruption Reevaluated

So I was bored this weekend, so I browsed through my files and pulled up my old Time Disruption story. Basically it's something I started back in 2003 (or early 2004, sometime around there) and worked on for 3+ years. It was probably one of my more successful stories on BZPower, and it certainly drew the largest number of reviews I've ever gotten for a story. I haven't reread it in years, so I thought it would be fun to do.   Of course, there were parts I still loved about this. The genera

Lego Store August 2015 Visit

Summer sets are out, so it was time for a visit to the local Lego Store to check out their new sets.   Bionicle was there in force. The shelves weren't completely empty, but they were getting picked through. I talked with one of the employees, and he said that while Bionicle isn't the best seller, it's still moving. It'll be interesting to see how Bionicle G2 did compared to Hero factory, but suffice to say that it's moderately popular.   They had Scooby Doo sets, but only some of the cheaper on
