So, after yesterday's bad exam results, I went on a job application spree. Applied for three different jobs, might do some more during the week too. Has The Man finally caught up with me? This is terrible to my feelings of youth.
Well, hombres, here's a list of all the Tintin-ites on here that I've found. So far there are three! What's been bugging me about Australia's beloved Mary Mackillop becoming a Saint is simple 'why?' - why does such a great person have to prove themselves after they've died by performing two 'miracles'? I mean really. People like her performed many 'miracles' during their lives for the sake of the Catholic Church, it seems ridiculous to me they have show some ethereal power. She should've been considered a saint long ago, like soon after her death. She was a saintly person when she was alive, fr

But Sepiamusic is truly a muy muy bueno group. I really want to get a copy of their two albums, Prototype (2003) and Trenches (2009), they sound absolutely amazing from the tracks I've been able to stream around the place. If you like that sort of electronic sound. Which I'm really starting too. Too much time spent in clubs and bars, perhaps? And yes, I did discover them through that bloody 'Tap Tap Revenge 3' Applecation. That game is way addictive, as long as you get good songs. In other n
We thank thee for thy warm and comforting rays for the past four days, we had nearly given up all hope of ever feeling thy warm glow again. We are forever devoted to you, and may you continue to grace us with your loving presence. At least for the rest of the week, anyway. I believe that's what my former knife-throwing sidekick Chiquito (who's a full blooded Peruvian Quechua, did you know?) would have said about the recent weather around here. Muy muy beuno indeed.
It is a little known fact that I, General Alcazar, spent some of my time in exile in Australia. It's true, I took my knife-throwing cabaret act as Ramon Zarate there several times during one my periods of exile. And unfortunately, I was there at a time when it was about to change from normal time to Daylight Saving Time, meaning losing an hour by putting the clocks forward. Mil bombas, it was preposterous. It's good we don't have it here. I'm sure that coward Tapioca would've tried to bring it i

It looks like I've once again triumped over that mangy dog Tapioca and gained control. ¡Mil Bombas! It's an overwhelming triumph, si si. Muy bueno. Well, hombres, I better go appoint some aide-de-camps now, so adios amigos!
Would you believe it, but this week's would have actually been Xaeraz (now Doc Scratch), had he not 'won' a few weeks back. I think the Rally to Restore Sanity (and March to Keep Fear Alive, to an extent) are actually entirely crucial for, well, getting some sense back into the world. Notice the use of 'the world', not just the USA. I believe that certainly here in Australia, just as in the US, as it seems to me, that the 15-20% loudest voices (from left and right) dominate too much of the public debate, and they certainly do not represent the views of much of the 80-85% remainder. I think a call for some sanity is
*sigh* Why do we allow this sort of journalism to happen? Seriously, who cares? Oh tabloids, you irritate me so. What else irritates me? Um, let's see, irrational people (hence, my support for Jon Stewart's rally). Being sick still. Um...the fact that because everything is socially constructed nothing actually seems to exist. Four seasons in one day. Explaining technology to mum. My cat snoring right now. Inanity. Bias. The media. The whole "Gimme now" sentiment of our generation. Squabbling.

It is good. Purposely decided to take an umbrella to Uni today, believing it would rain. It did rain...but never when I was outside, and especially not when I was walking to or from the Uni. Of course, if I hadn't taken it, it would have been pouring when I was outside and dry when inside. Murphey's Law supercedes everything. Also, gig tomorrow, really excited. Should be awesome. Particularly because I love the band we're supporting, perfect blend of all my favourite alternative music type
Are important in the grand scheme of things for the human condition. And I need them. What would you prefer? When I have nothing to talk about, like right now, I try and post something, no matter how meaningless? Or just not bother until I have something interesting to say? I feel like asking because I wonder whether I should keep trying to be in the Top 10 Bloggers in terms of quantity, because technically I am, even though I'm not on the list.
I'll let you know when I find something that meets that description. And the woman on the TV right now can't say her 'r's, and she's talking about some economic things, like fees or something. It's funny, I'm so bad.
What a complete waste of a week. Because of this rather bizarre cold/illness/whatever madness this is, I think I've achieved a grand total of two things: finding the soundtrack to the ol' Canadian Adventures of Tintin TV series (so good!), and this random write up. zorro101 zorro101 has 20 posts (no star rating, no profile views) and joined BZPower 31-January 03. Sooooo...ill right now. Like the worst I've been all year. Throat is burning. Everything hurts. And had to miss the first day of lectures after mid-semester break, so that's bad. And I really don't feel ready to go tomorrow either. Serves me right for having fun. That is all. Tune in next time for more inane updates from Phyoohrii the 'Dark Hunter' Hunter.
